Display images
Hi!
First of all, sorry for my english.
I have one problem. I'm creating a server to install PC's with PXE
(dhcpd, tftp, nfs, etc...).
And, at the syslinux moment, the image (splash.lss/logo.16/...) is not
displayed, but the text into boot.msg works ok (colors and background ok).
I copied files from Knoppix, Fedora and others... But it's the same: No
image, but text and colors ok.

Vmware to KVM - possible?
Is it possible to convert a VMWare image to KVM?
As I have been building a few test machines on Vmware Fusion and would like
to migrate some to a KVM server.
Thanks in advance.

If I am able to see if it is cellular or not is there any way to see aprox. what area the phone is in (I know this wont be simple but would it work if I have an agreeement with the cell phone companies) ? This is for the US.
Thanks.

Hello dovecot,
It seems, that mail_chroot setting can't use variables. I try to set it to `%h' and it deosn't work :(
Are here any security considerations, or it is bug?

Hi,
I am looking for a TFTP server that is easy like the tftpd32 for Windows that I have been using. Just want to start it with a command and my Cisco can connect and retreive the config files from it.
Many thanks,

switcher patch do disable window list
Here is a switcher patch to disable window list:
It's very useful if you set opacity to 0. Then, window just bring to front one
by one while switching. It's much more usable, i think, that small miniatures
in a list where you don't see anything.
While making this patch, a question come into my head, nobody know on
compiz.biz and some people are as curious as me.

Tinc for gaming
Hi,
We are trying to set up tinc for playing lan games over the internet.
The three of us are running tinc, can ping each other and browse shared
folders. yes, windows :|
However we cannot connect because we don't show up in the game lobby.
The games usually require udp ports to be open, but I think these are all
open once we establish the tinc tunnel.

MacOS X and quota-plugin
Hi all,
I've installed dovecot 1.0 rc12 on a MacOS X client system with only
a handful of users ? all virtual ? and would like to enable quotas.
I've tried searching the wiki for information on how to do this, but
haven't been able to find anything ? which is why I turn to the list
in hope there's someone out there who can point me in the right
direction.

Procmail delivers mail to subfolders under ~/.mail, locking using
dotfiles. One folder in particular for one user has an mbox file

Quite often, I'll see that procmail processes are stacking up because
~/.mail/Cron.lock exists, and

Extension provokes crash in unzReadCurrentFile
I'm doing some work in C with the R_ExternalPointer
interface, and having some seg fault problems. I expect the
crash is my fault, bad pointer in my code causing a fault
later etc, but I'm curious about the point of failure.
R almost always falls over in a call to unzReadCurrentFile
following a burst of disk activity. I'm definitely not
doing anything that would call that

New server is not discovering USB drive attachment
Just built a Centos 5 system last night that will be a NAS server.
I have a bunch of notebook drives with information I want to populate
the NAS with.
I am logged in as root. I plug in the USB notebook drive device and
nothing.
My notebook has no trouble with this device. Obliviously I missed
something in the install.
autofs is reported as running, so not that.

ActionMailer attachment troubels
Hi!
As per the API Docs, I''ve put this in my Actionmailer class
attachment :content_type => "application/csv",
:body => File.read(filename), :content_disposition => ''test.csv''
The email arrives okay and all but the filename is ignored and the
newlines in my CSV file are gone (replaced by something else).
I must admit I''m receiving
