Deliver autocreate with auto-subscribe?
Hello,
I'm using dovecot with postfix configured for address extensions, so
email to me+folder at mydomain.com <me%2Bfolder at mydomain.com>, automatically is
handed off
to dovecot deliver, which sees there is no folder called "folder"
and autocreates it. This is brilliant, as it means I can give out
subject orrientated email addresses, and the mail is automatically

portable parallel seeds project: request for critiques
I've got another edition of my simulation replication framework. I'm
attaching 2 R files and pasting in the readme.
I would especially like to know if I'm doing anything that breaks
.Random.seed or other things that R's parallel uses in the
environment.
In case you don't want to wrestle with attachments, the same files are
online in our SVN

windows print migrator + "add printer command"
Hi all.
I was wondering if anyone had a successful exampel of using the "add
printer command" with cups so that the windows print migrator could be
utilised. Seeing as Jerry as spent time on this it would be a shame not to
know how to use it. ;-)
I'm guessing that it would be along the lines of:
add printer command = lpadmin option1 option2 && cupsaddsmb option1

Support .cda as input files
Hi again list,
I have given the matter of supporting .cda as input format some more
thought. What I wanted was an easier way to do drag 'n' drop music files
from CDs onto the local system and then have those files encoded with FLAC.
As of now most operating systems displays files on CDs as .cda. (Which has
later been clarified not to even be a format.)
I think that what I actually

new mailing list - advocacy@xiph.org
We've had a few requests for a place where advocacy efforts can be
discussed.
I've created a new mailing list, advocacy@xiph.org. This is going to be
a place where we:
- discuss adoption strategies
- coordinate vendor support requests
- help coordinate promotion activity
I encourage everyone who is interested in promoting, advocating and
evangelizing Vorbis, Icecast and other Xiph.org

Expunge Old Email
For those of you running mailservers on CentOS 6, what are the
suggestions for programs to expunge old email? For instance, deleting
email from a Spam folder that is 2 weeks old or older.
I see that Dovecot does have a solution, but was wondering about what
others have landed on.
My systems are basically Postfix, Dovecot using Maildir.
Thanks,

Director mailserver health monitoring script
Timo et al;
The last bit of functionality that the Dovecot director is missing
compared to our existing load balancers is mailserver health monitoring.
As I understand it, if a mailserver goes down, Dovecot does not take any
action to route connections around the offline node, and will keep
trying to proxy clients to it. Since we're hoping to cut over to
Directors soon, but don't want to

Filtering out low scoring matches with acts_as_ferret (fwd)
Hi all,
I''m using fuzzy~ queries which can return very poor matches. What is the
most elegant way to filter out scores below some threshold? I know that I
can do my own thing with find_id_by_contents but I''d like to filter out
less relevant results at a lower level so that I can use :limit/:offset
for pagination and all that.
What am I missing?
Thanks,
Casey

Topic filtering on this list
Someone suggested in an earlier thread about possibly splitting this
list (by release or some other topical divide), and it was suggested
that people use list filters to extract the topics (release 5.0 was
the one mentioned) of interest.
I may have gone to the wrong place, but I did go to the mailing list
subscription control page for mine, and there are no topics defined on
which one may filter.

Filtering pagination results on a foreign table criteria
I have a one-to-many relation between my documents and statuses tables.
I want to display only the documents whose states are not "Published".
I haven''t figured out how to do this using the standard paginate method
(maybe there''s a way using its :joins option). I''m also considering
writing a custom paginator or using paginate_by_sql[1].
Does anyone have

file_column - filtering uploaded file type and storing image size?
Sorry, more newby FC questions!
I would like to use one file upload field to upload both PDFs and images.
The images are in the listing_images table and PDFs are in the
listing_pdfs table - both have a one-to-many relationship with listings.
How do I do this?
For listing_images, I would like to store the width and height of the
image so I can produce valid xhtml image tags. I can''t

filtering results in acts_as_tree
I''m using a logical delete for a table and want to use acts_as_tree with
it. Is there any way to filter the rows returned as the tree is traversed
to include only those records where the deleted column is equal to FALSE?
thanks very much for your help.

Add''l filtering on HABTM
I have a table "keywords" with a HABTM relationship with "files" in a
legacy MySQL db.
I can find all of the files associated with a keyword in Rails. These
files can be on any of 4 volumes. However, users can have restrictions
on which volumes they have access to, so after returning the file list,
I need to filter it against an string array of allowable volumes for

Filtering items within scaffold
I''m messing with the agiles store example. I added a field in my
product table (user_id) that is also a foreign key relationship via
fk_products_user
In my scaffold I''d like to list the products as usual, but only those
products from the logged in user. I assume that would be done in the
controller..
How would I extend the basic controller:
