Vitualization and Partitioning
Hello, OK, getting ready to order a new machine and had some questions about 6.0. It will have a single 500GB HD. When I do the install, do I or should I setup a separate partition for guest OS's? From the redhat docs, it looks like the guest OS's reside at /var/lib/libvirt/images/. I may combine my windoze XP on the CentOS machine so would I need to create a partition and format that

Virtual Mailboxes redux
I?ve created virtual mailboxes in dovecot, and they show up in various clients, but the folders contain no messages. (I will get an ?empty? folder icon named ?@virtual? and an empty folder icon named ?month? inside it. Is there a way I can verify what dovecot THINKS should be in the virtual folder via doveadm?

Basically, it's behaving exactly as it did when I was trying to use a global config. This, and the lack of errors, is causing me to think that it is something odd in my install as opposed to a configuration issue (full doveconf -n at end) mail_location =

Using a Windows partition as libvirt media
I'm running Ubuntu desktop 12.10 with libvirt and virt-manager (gui). I have been led to believe that it is possible to use and existing partition as the disk storage volume for a virtual machine. The windows partition is /dev/sda2, but if I use fs: Pre-formatted Block Device I can select the partion. What I can't figure out is how to tell the vitual machine to use this volume. I tried

Virtual question
?For each virtual directory you need to create a dovecot-virtual file. Its syntax is like:? OK, where does this file get created? Say I want the users to have a virtual mailbox that is messages received in the last month, does that file go into each user' s Maildir path? It sounds like I have to create a virtual folder for each user, then any folders inside that folders, and then the config

Re: First XEN install: Installing XEN in virtual machine? &Remote GUI for XEN? & etc.
1) No, not necessarily. Many VM systems (Parallels, VMware, even XEN HVMs) emulate Ring 0 access for the operating system running on top of it, so there isn''t any reason for direct hardware access. However, you really should grab some older or cheaper hardware and install Xen directly on the hardware - it will be very, very slow running inside parallels. 2) There really isn''t
