SV: Looking for a guide to collect all e-mail from the ISP mail server
>> why not just point them at a hosting service like google apps, and let google keep things up to date? Costs money, and also the problem is that gmail imposes heavy spam filters and "reputation blocks" meaning smaller providers with low email volumes, are put in the spam folder, even if they never send spam, just because their email volume is so low (ergo, they must prove they

pass hash as parameter
Hello, How can I pass a hash as parameter from a template with url_for? e.g. : if I have test = { :a => "a", :b => "b" } How can I pass that with my request? Is it possible to pass nested hash''es to? Right now, url_for :action => :test, test doesn''t seem to work. Thank you, --

Duplicate e-mail with Dovecot and Sieve
The "duplicate" test was removed because not working in this particular case, I already read the RFC but I didn't find anything useful for our case. I'll try replacing `if true` with `if not duplicate` into sieve script and I'll post back the result. The "true" check is used to enable the out of office rule, otherwise we use "if false # true" to

Duplicate e-mail with Dovecot and Sieve
Hi, I think that the test "if not duplicate" could not work for our case, as the out of office should answer everytime, we only wants the redirect to not be sent as a duplicate for the users of the alias LIST. In other words we would like: 1) To redirect the e-mail directed to a single user (with out of office active) to LIST at domain.tld, so that every user of the LIST receives

Sieve vacation :addresses match only case-sensitive?
The recipients in the vacation :addresses String list are matched case-sensitive. If the recipient gets a mail with wrong case, the message is discarded with: "discarding vacation response for implicitly delivered message; no known (envelope) recipient address found in message headers" I think the matching should be case-insensitive. Is this a bug or do I miss some option? I'm

LMTP: Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender: User doesn't exist! :-(
:-) I'm using postfix for mail delivery and dovecot for mailbox access imaps pop3s. Postfix resolves, verifies and overwrites users' addresses by numerous subtle LDAP queries. However users are visible as local ones (openldap, pam, nss) in the sense I can run `id' or `finger' queries and receive replies. Dovecot handles all mailboxes over imap/pop correctly with no

Can Dovecot reject unencrypted mail?
Hi, Is it possible to configure Dovecot to reject mail that is not encrypted. In other words: 1. If the user tries to send an unencrypted message from their MUA, the server rejects it. 2. If a third-party tries to send an unencrypted message to the user, the server rejects it. The end result would be that no mail stored on the server can be decrypted by the administrator. I am aware that: *

sieve is working/forwarding mail - but not for all users
Hi, we have dovecot-ee-2.2.18.2 and pigeonhole/managesieve 0.4.8 running for some time. Today some users informed us that they did not get mails from one project account forwarded to there personal accounts any more. This worked till one week ago and I cant think of any changes we made... The project account keeps a copy of received mails. I tried two different accounts to configure

SV: Looking for a guide to collect all e-mail from the ISP mail server
I would have to also hack the email client since I don't enter my 20 character high entropy password when I send or retrieve email. You really need an email standard to integrate TOTP. To be realistic, you need Gmail to use it. Whatever Gmail wants is essentially a defacto standard. I live in the real world, so whatever Google wants, I comply. ? Original Message ? shared folder name or public folder with mail address
Hello! we are about to move from cyrus to dovecot and have one open issue for that migration. With cyrus we have "shared/" folders with a name that is self defined like shared/project-xyz but the email address for direct delivery to that folder my be different (not project-xyz at domain.com). With dovecot we try to have it similar (at least how the user sees it in the client) like it

Sieve "redirect" changes envelope sender in 2.3. / pigeonhole 0.5
Hi (Stephan?), is it a new feature of dovecot 2.3 /pigeonhole 0.5 that a sieve "redirect" changes the envelope sender of a redirected mail or simply a bug ? A sends mail to B, B redirects to C C sees B (not A!) as envelope sender. It is not a problem if C gets the mail but if that mail bounces for various reasons it goes back to B and A will never know about this. I thick this is came
