dovecot mmap() complaints: No such device
I'm trying to use dovecot-deliver with sieve plugin, delivering to

(mail_cache_add): assertion
Hi,
I currently use rc2 on FreeBSD AMD64. Are there any news regarding this Bug: mail-cache-transaction.c: line 709 (mail_cache_add): assertion failed: (fixed_size == (unsigned int)-1 || fixed_size == data_size)?
I read that access to an 64bit-machine could help you. Feel free to contact me.
Greetings from germany,
Daniel

Hey everyone, I'm trying version 1.0rc2, via the rpm at ATrpms. I'm running on CentOS
4.3 on an Opteron system. I have this running stably on a 32 bit system, but I'm
crashing constantly on a 64 bit system.
Here's what I'm getting in my mail logs when I try to log in via IMAP:

1.0rc8: another problem? Possibly 64-bit index?
Yesterday I gave a status report about 10.rc8 in production, which
mentioned a problem about "Login process died too early..."
Timo suggested a patch for logging error messages. I've applied this.
Others suggested increasing "login_max_processes_count". That was already
way above our likely maximum, but I've doubled it anyway.
Today, I've just repeated the

recent dovecot: assertion failed.
Hi,
today I have built dovecot from cvs sources, and upgraded server from
beta-7 to this newer version.
Then i got problems with opening INBOX using thunderbird 1.5.0.2. The
client says "Opening folder...", then, after about half a minute,
blinking "connecting to the server" and returning to "Opening folder..."
/var/log/maillog gets the messages:

Hi,
Thank you for pointing me about -xc99 flag, I have compiled and
installed dovecot inplace of version 1.0.5 without any special actions
on the upgrade. And after starting it immediately got in it's log file
messages like:

Dovecot rc9 error (More information)
Hi
This happens when email is copied/moved from the inbox to another folder
on the same imap account. The mail client goes into a loop with the
below errors logged. This is on a 64bit Linux machine using the Maildir
storage format. After doing a 'rm dovecot*' from the Maildir folder of
the account having the problem the client can log in again but if the
client tries to copy again it

I am trying dovecot-1.1 with dovecot-sieve-1.1.
First, dovecot -n do not report about deliver settings.

Can't move messages
Hi,
I use dovecot with IMAP over SSL and with Plain Text authentication. I've been
using that for quite a while, but now (with my new PC), it's not working like
it should (I tried several 1.0* releases, including 1.0-rc6. The problem is
that I can't move messages from one IMAP folder to another, no matter which
mail client. When I use KMail, I get:

v1.0 plans, rc11 tomorrow
As you can probably guess from my today's burst of activity, I'm no
longer extremely busy. Actually it looks like for the next 3-4 weeks I
don't have anything especially time consuming to do. So it's time to get
Dovecot v1.0 released :)
I've now read all the mails from this list again, and it looks like
pretty much the only problems with rc10 was the mbox assert crash, which

IMAP FILE MOVE ERROR
I recently installed dovecot.x86_64 1.0-0.beta8.1.fc5 on a new server.
Our network users use Pegasus as their mail readers, accessing their home
folder on the server via Samba. Each user has a pop3 set of folders, and
we have a shared imap set of folders. This has worked very well for
previous versions of dovecot.
When moving files between folders on the imap set, we get an error

Imap crashes when trying to move messages
The imap process crashes when SquirrelMail wants to move a message to
another folder. I have run imap in gdb and talked to it the same way
SquirrelMail does and got a backtrace.
I am using Dovecot beta3. I am using it in combination with XMail,
which has maildir databases.
My system is Gentoo Linux on x86.
The same version of Dovecot works great for me on amd64 with exactly
the same config.
