Tru64 Unix and SIA
I have recently written a (minimal) Tru64 Unix SIA password module for Dovecot as part of testing a Dovecot installation. Has anyone else written a Tru64 Unix SIA module? Is anyone else interested in such a module? If so, how might I/we go about getting this/such a module into the main Dovecot source? Tru64 patch for mountpoint.c
I believe that there is one more patch required for a successful build on Tru64: # diff ./src/lib/mountpoint.c.orig ./src/lib/mountpoint.c 60a61,63 > #ifdef __osf__ > point_r->type = p_strdup(pool, getvfsbynumber(buf.f_type)); > #else 62c65,66 < point_r->block_size = buf.f_bsize; --- > #endif > point_r->block_size = buf.f_bsize; Cheers

Multiple instances and/or separate certificates per email address
Hi, We have a mail server with multiple instances of Postfix each listening on a different IP address to create a set of virtual mail servers. There are various reasons why separate instances of Postfix seems to work best to achieve this goal, but I wont divert into that discussion here. I would like so match this with Dovecot. The listening side isn't a problem as Dovecot can listen on

Problem in dovecot 0.99 - login username case sensitive create fake maildirs
Hello, I have noticed a weird behaviour in dovecot 0.99 which, I hope, is not replicated in 1.0-alpha. First I have to say that it works very well. So if I login with user foo at bar.com, the maildir is created. But when I log in with User FOO at BAR.COM, or FOO at BAR.com, then two other maildirs are created. Authentication is ok (I'm using mysql backend) but no mails are obviously

can't get md5 stored passwords to work
In my mysql database everyone has plain passwords. I set the password don my account to {PLAIN-MD5}md5sum but when I go to login it wont let me. But I can log in with "{PLAIN-MD5}md5sum" it's like it ignores the whole {scheme} thing. So I changed my dovecot-mysql.conf to: default_pass_scheme = PLAIN-MD5 In the password field for my username I just used the md5sum. I stopped

Having trouble getting Dovecot to read a ~/Maildir configuration
Murray Collingwood put forth on 4/20/2011 8:29 PM: > Hi Stan > > I only have the one account on this server, everything else is relayed > elsewhere. If this is an SMTP relay server, I'm surprised you bothered to install an IMAP server at all. It would have been easier to simply alias postmaster@ to another account on another machine where you do store mailboxes. I.e. simply

Having trouble getting Dovecot to read a ~/Maildir configuration
Hi folks Setting up a new server, hence a few software packages have been upgraded / changed. On my old server (only 2 years old) I was using Dovecot and RoundCube (web mail app) and had a good experience so was keen to use these again. The only major change is I have switched from sendmail to exim4 (which was installed by default on this Debian server). Exim4 appears to be doing the right

Using metric scaling
I want to enter a symmetric matrix containing distances for use in the cmdscale() metric scaling function. The matrix currently sits on a file in lower triangular form looking like this: 1 AWANUI RIVER .000 2 BLENHEIM .510 .000 3 COLLINGWOOD .510 .109 .000 4 FOXTON .510 .141 .141 .000 5 GISBORNE .549 .549 .549

Fedora Patches
Hi, We've been fixing a few bugs and glitches in our fedora compiz rpm and I wanted to post them here for review, in the hope that we could get them included before the upcoming release. Without further ado: cow.patch - add support for using the composite overlay window for GL output instead of rendering to the root window. This is lets compiz run on AIGLX without the

Setup for Go2call ? Or any SIP provider using phonejack or linejack g729 g723
Hi, does anyone have the setup for go2call ? I have digium boards and quicknet linejacks and phonejacks. The cards work fine in asterisk without the g729 or g723.1 for the phonejack. I will like to do SIP origination using the codec in the phonejack and linejack g729 or g723 and send the calls to go2call. Anyone has the setup for this ? Or similar setup to a SIP provider using g729 or g723

Hourly Time Series
I have hourly data for approximately 21 days in the following format DateID HourID Metrics 20060920 0 xxxxxx 20060920 1 xxxxxx The hour ids correspond to one hour windows starting 00:00 to 23:59. I have never dealt with TS data before. What is the best way to handle this data? TS objects or use the Zoo package? Thanks in advance.

500 Internal Server Error on Cisco 7940 after INVITE
Hi, Our Cisco 7940 phones on a single network sometimes seem to drop calls as soon as they are picked up. After a second INVITE the phone sends '500 Internal Error'. One phone thinks its still in a call (though there is no audio) while the other phone is not in a call. The drop happens immediately after connecting and I think it is due to a second INVITE. Turning reinvite off seems

strange dial problem with polycom 501
I am having a strange problem with polycom 501 and dailing. I've read the archives and no one there specifically mentions this problem, so I thought I'd ask here. The problem is that when the user picks up the receiver or pressed new call, sometimes they will enter a number (for example 95072091234) and in the middle of the number the cursor might jump back one digit. So the call above,

chan_sip doesn't authenticate on INVITE from a Dial() command
Hi. I'm trying to get Asterisk 13 to authenticate when it sends an INVITE, and for some reason it's simply not doing it. I've even resorted to reading the source code to try and work out what I'm doing wrong... In channels/chan_sip.c I find: * SIP Dial string syntax: * SIP/devicename * or SIP/username at domain (SIP uri) * or
