[lld] RFC: Finding shared libraries on OpenBSD
Hi Mark, If we have to do this, or LLD doesn't work on OpenBSD, I think we need to do this. But can I ask one question? I wonder why OpenBSD systems don't have symbolic links unlike the other Unix-like systems in the first place. imap daemon consuming all the cpu
Hello, I've tried to do a full text search on the inbox, it run fine, but the imap daemon started to eat all the CPU until I closed the email client. I'm running dovecot 1.0.rc7 [using kqueue] on FreeBSD 6.1. ktrace shows this pattern over and over (its seems to be looping): 49021 imap CALL kevent(0x4,0,0,0x80df000,0x5,0xbfbfe988) 49021 imap RET kevent 1 49021 imap

RoR on OpenBSD 3.8
Has anyone on this list setup lighttpd on OpenBSD 3.8 with fast-cgi and PHP5 ? If so did you have to install PHP5 with the ports system or is it possible to use the PHP5 package ? Retention Policy Feature(?)
I am currently using dovecot 0.99.14p1 on OpenBSD 3.8, mbox format, procmail+sendmail MTA. I subscribe to quite a few mailing lists and currently have procmail sorting mail into the proper mboxes. I was hoping there would be some sort of retention policy feature built in to dovecot. I want to delete mail more than X days old from X folders. I have combed the documentation, list archives, and

assertion after upgrading to 1.1rc7 from 1.1rc3
Hi, I'm getting this assertion after making an upgrade from 1.1rc3 to 1.1rc7. Deleting the index files solves the problem. This seems to happen only to some accounts but I haven't managed to find which ones. I'm using dovecot's deliver to deliver the messages. Catch-all with LMTP and Postfix
Hidy-ho, I'm having a difficult time getting catch-all working when using Dovecot LMTP. I would like *@example.com (everything) to go to virtual at example.com, where virtual is a valid virtual user. It seems that things are getting as far as LMTP, but then the mail gets bounced. To wit: Aug 21 08:02:50 hostname postfix/lmtp[4914]: 8DF8E9AFE6: to=<test at example.com>,

Booting OpenBSD with pxelinux
I've got PXE/TFTP setup for various Linux distributions and some utilities (clonezilla, dban, etc). I'm now starting in on OpenBSD. As far as I've been able to figure out via internet searches, pxelinux (from the syslinux package) is unable to pass control of a machine directly to a BSD kernel. Instead, you have to use the BSD-supplied 'pxeboot' loader. The naming

I just added __OpenBSD__ everywhere __FreeBSD__ was being tested (there were about a dozen places). I suspect we'll have to add one for NetBSD also one day (even DragonflyBSD?). INT8_MAX and friends ought to be declared by <stdint.h>. It is on FreeBSD. Ralph Corderoy wrote: >Hi again, > >I wrote: > > >>>I would like to test but the I modigied the

tftp-hpa backport to openbsd tftpd
Hi I'm working on an update of the openbsd tftpd, mainly to support RFC 2349 (tsize option; and 2347-2348 too). In fact, i backport from tftp-hpa (which came from an old openbsd cvs). I know, i can use tftp-hpa but first it doesn't compile on openbsd, second, i hope the backport could be include in openbsd cvs ... does someone know a tftp client or a test to really know what is good or

How to use virt-install and http to install openbsd VM in KVM?
Hi, Not quite sure if this is the right forum for this question. My requirement is to http boot openbsd in KVM. This works fine with RHEL6 guest install but not with OpenBSD. I loop mounted the openbsd installer on the http server. My Http server directory looks like: [root at uefiserver vm-openbsd]# ll total 5 drwxr-xr-x 3 root kmem 2048 Aug 17 09:35 5.0 drwxr-xr-x 2 root kmem 2048 Aug 17

Solution to accessing shares w/ 2.0.5a and openBSD 2.5 (bug in OpenBSD calls or configure script?)
I recently installed an OpenBSD 2.5 box and compiled the 2.0.5a version of Samba. I set the security to security=user and turned on encryption so that I can access my home directory from my NT workstation (this is how I set up all my other machines and only the OpenBSD caused a problem). I was getting an error when I tried to connect to the machine - my logs showed an error of unable to set the
