IMAP4rev1 broken with evolution
Hi,
I'm running 1.0rc6 on Solaris/SPARC, compiled myself against openssl.
Client is Evolution 2.6.2 on my gentoo x86 laptop.
As Dovecot is not yet productive, we run it parallel to UW-imap, on
other ports. I use TLS.
If I configure my evolution client with server-type IMAP, everything
works fine. However, dovecot claims IMAP4rev1 support. However, when I
set server-type to IMAP4rev1 in

dead bodies stacking up in Drafts folder
Hi,
Setup : Apple Mail 2.1.1 (752.3) on Intel MacBook Pro and Dovecot
1.0rc22 on Solaris 9/SPARC. I use IMAP/TLS.
Problem : mails are stacking up in the Drafts folder.
When I start writing a mail, it appears in the drafts folder, and
usually disappear as desired when I hit "Send". It then appear in the
"Sent" folder.
Sometimes, a draft versions stays in

High CPU load
Hello,
I'm using dovecot-1.0.b9 on a FreeBSD 6.1 system. Usually we have 6
clients connected to dovecot through IMAPs. These clients are
Thunderbird 1.5 programs. After some hours, one or two processed go up
to 100% WCPU. As an example, this is what I see when I run 'top':
last pid: 5111; load averages: 1.34, 1.82, 1.75 up 13+00:04:09

Winbind being flakey
After some more screwing around with leaving and rejoining the ADS
domain I was finally able to access a share with "valid users =" set to
a domain group I was a member of. The _only_ change I made after this
was to add yet another group to the valid users on the share and restart
samba...after that I could no longer access the share. I removed the
additional group, restarted samba and

Problem with authentification Samba 3.0.24
Dear listmembers,
a few weeks ago i've installed a server based on openSUSE 10.0 and Samba
3.0.20
in addition to two existing Windows 2003 servers. My aim is to replace the
Windows servers in medium term.
The Samba server uses Kerberos v5 to authentificate the users against the
W2003-Server. The W2003-Server ist the primary domain controller, the other
W2K3-server is the "backup domain

Problems w/ winbind and AD group membership
Hello friends,
I am using samba to join a linux box to an active directory domain to
use as a file server. I would like to be able to control access to
shares based on AD domain groups. However, even though winbind seems to
be seeing the groups fine, samba is not granting access to users who are
members of the group. I am able to successfully join the system to the
domain and granting access to

Not getting new mail notification
Hey all,
I'm having no luck getting new mail notification except in two mail
folders (using maildir w/procmail delivery). I'm using three different
clients (sylpheed-claws 1.9.14, Thunderbird 1.5.0.5 and a newer version
of Horde). None of them are getting new mail in any except these two
folders (inbox and 1 other). If I browse to the folders, still nothing.
If I browse to the

Samba over SSH to Windows Vista
After having scoured the net for a way to do SMB over SSH with Windows,
I've tried everything I have found and I still can't get it to work.
I'm using Windows Vista as the client and FC6 with Samba 3.0.24-1 as the
server. I have set up a share and can successfully connect to that share
with no ssh tunnel.
I would like to tunnel SMB over SSH, so here is what I have tried:

45second delays on log in
Dear List Members,
We have been running Dovecot as an IMAP server for web based access
to email for our customers. At the moment, when the server is under
load, some users are finding that it takes 45 seconds to log in. I
was wondering if any of you guys would have any tips. I would love
any information that would help solve or debug this issue.
Background information:
The server is

Thunderbird : open() failed with index file /home/XYZ/mail/.imap/Trash/dovecot.index: Not a directory
Hi,
almost everything is in the subject.
Server : Solaris 9 /SPARC, Dovecot 1.0.rc22
Client :
Mac OS X 10.4.8 (8L2127)
Kernel-Version: Darwin 8.8.1
Thunderbird is: german Version 1.5.0.9 (20061207)
With OS X Mail.app, message deletion works. With Thunderbird, a
warning popup appear on the desktop. English translation is about

need %u parameter for lpq command
Hi,
I'm developing a script for "lpq command". It would need a %U option so that the script can know which user asked for the job list. Currently, lpq command seem to only serve %p. Is there any hope to get %U ?
I see that my script run as root, so I assume the calling user info is lost ?
TIA,
Charles

sizing a print server for 10'000 users
Hi,
I'm building a print-to-PDF queue system for a customer. A Samba queue pass jobs to Ghostscript. The PDF output is then provided back to the user (by email or web URL).
My question is on server sizing. It will be on Linux (SLES 9) and will only host the print queue, nothing else. Samba will be joined in the ADS domain, so I can recognize the submitting user (%u).
Every Windows client

GVN Hoist moving a store across load
Hi,
I have a scenario, roughly like this:
if (...) {
... = *x
*x = 0
} else {
... = *x
*x = 0
}
The two sides are functionally different, but both load some value and
then set it to 0.
After GVN Hoist, I get:
*x = 0
if (...) {
... = *x
} else {
... = *x
}
That is, the store was hoisted above the loads.
The code is not exactly public, so I

Question about store with unaligned memory address
Hi All,
I have a question about store with unaligned memory address.
I am working on target which has only 4 byte aligned load and store
instruction and I am generating 2 load and store instructions to store
value on memory which the address is not aligned 4. I am doing it with
lowering store as follow:
1. make low and high address with alignment.
2. load 2 words from low and high address.

Question about store with unaligned memory address
Hi Krzysztof,
Thanks for response.
The method is working almost of test cases which use load and store
instructions connected with chain. There is other situation. Let's
look at a example as follows:
typedef unsigned short int UV __attribute__((vector_size (8)));
void test (UV *x, UV *y) {
*x = *y / ((UV) { 4, 4, 4, 4 });
}
The target does not support vector type so CodeGen tries to
