forward flag metadata
In testing the migration from courier-imap to dovecot I've discovered that the forward flag on messages isn't kept track of in a standard way. courier-imap seems to keep track of forwarded messages in courierimapkeywords/:list dovecot seems to add an 'a' flag to the filename. Unfortunately this 'a' flag information doesn't seem to be given out by dovecot. It's

user authentication issue
Hey Samba list, First a brief comment regarding my background and situation. This is my first time posting to this list. I've been asked to resolve a Samba authentication issue, but I have next to no experience using Samba. Unfortunately no one else here knows how to use it either; we're operating with an inherited environment from a sysadmin who left minimal documentation, and we have

Login with firstname.lastname instead of loginname
Some of our users use to login as firstname.lastname or firstname.lastname at charite.de instead of using the "correct" "flastname" login name. In order to get this behaviour a long-gone co-worker wrote an authdaemon.pl, which speaks the courier-authdaemon protocol. How can I emulate this behaviour with dovecot? Basically, all I need is a usernamen mapping ala:

Search for a usable pan manual
Hello, I'm looking for a more descriptive manual/tutorial/paper for the pan package. The provided manual and example do not contain any useful hints how to specify a model with more than one variable and leaves several questions unanswered. This also applies to the referred paper "Schafer: Imputation of missing covariates under a multivariate linear mixed model." Can anyone

analysis of multivariate normal (missing values)
Hi, I could not find an R package for the analysis of multivariate normal datasets with missing values. Prof. Joseph Schafer has created an S+ library (norm) that does such type of analysis, which I now ported to R. I guess that I should have asked here if there are other people working on such project, before I actually ported it, but... If such package has not been ported, I will upload the

Asterisk and Broadvoice, no incoming voice
I just signed up for the BroadVoice service a few hours ago, but for the life of me I can't get any incoming voice. The incoming connection is fine as it rings my extension from outside, but I can't hear anyone talking. Outgoing voice is working fine though. I've been looking through the archives, but I haven't found a solution to the problem yet. I even tried another router

upgrade samba3 -> samba4, difficulties with koha
Hi all, We've been running samba3/openldap in combo with koha for years, until the time came to upgrade to samba4 AD. Did that last weekend, and today I tried to connect koha (3.12.01, I know, we have to upgrade) to the samba4 ldap server. We're using auth_by_bind, which should be supported by Active Directory, checked principle name many times. However, I can't login, apache

Dovecot deleting files and directories
Hi, I?m a new Dovecot user and using version 2.2.18 on an OpenSuse system. In general it all works quite nicely and clients can connect to Dovecot and manage mails normally. The layout used is maildir. The users are all virtual, i.e. they do not exist on the Linux system. They all log in without any authentication due to a very specialized and internal setup. However, sometimes Dovecot simply

Trouble using 2 IAX2 DiDs provided by different ITSPs
Asterisk 1.2.7 Redhat 9 I have DiDs from two different ITSP both set up as IAX2. Each one works when it's the only one in my iax.conf, but when I have them both defined in iax.conf at the same time, only one will work. My iax.conf is provided below. Any ideas how to fix? I'd like to use both DiDs! Thanks, H My iax.conf is below. When I dial the DiD provided by ITSP_B, the other
