Dovecot vs Couir-IMAP
I'm the beginner for IMAP/POP3 servers. I'm starting to use Dovecot. But I'm confusing between Courier-IMAP and Dovecot. Anyone tell me some quick tips regarding this issue. What's the better and what's the worst thing comparing these two IMAP/POP3 servers? I think the Dovecot is good enough for security and performance issue over Courier. Is it right? And how about the feature

Dovecot 1.1.x and 1.2.x differencies
Hello, I have been using successfully Dovecot 1.1.x for about a year now. It has been very stable. Now I'm uprading that same system to newer and more powerful hardware and I was wondering whether it is good idea or not to switch to Dovecot 1.2.x series. Could anybody direct me to feature comparision document or explain here main differences betweeen thos two branches? -- Veiko

Comparision of IAX2, FWD, iaxtel etc etc.
Hi, I've been setting up * recently and slowly getting to grips with it, however I'm getting rather confused with all the different configs for IAX calls, FWD calls iaxtel etc etc. What I think I need it a basic understanding or even a comparison of these different voip systems (if thats what they are?) I'd like to be able to make calls to other voip users, both in the UK and abroad

dare to compare -- live streams: ogg/WMA
hello all! After having read http://www.xiph.org/ogg/vorbis/listen.html and listened to the examples on that very educational page, I decided to augment the info. This example is more simple, it involves the comparision between two streams of the same radio station, FranceInter (a station of Radio France in Paris). The ogg stream is running at around 30 kbps/11 kHz in stereo. The WMA stream

How to plot PDF which is in the form of orthogonal polynomial
Dear all using the orthogonal polymial on a set of data, I get an approximate density which basically is in the form: exp(-polynomial), as you know, the parameters are the converged coeeficients. obviously, It is hard, if not impossible, to use the inverse CDF method to get a sample and then plot density. then how can I plot the approximated density in order to have a graphical comparision

Ext3 Variables
Hello , i want to create a script that should automatically free the proxy partition i.e /var. I am able to create that script. But the problem is that i don't know through which variables i can check my partition's space that show me full detail i.e remaining size, etc. One for that is df -h and other fdisk -l /dev/hdxx. But when i will use if state then which

LSD, HSD,...
Hi, I'm designing a experiment in order to compare the growing of several clones of a tree specie. It will be a complete randomized block design. How can I decide what model of mean comparision to choose? LSD, HSD,TukeyHSD, Duncan,...? Thanks in advance

ocfs2: char is not always signed
Commit 1c66b360fe262 (Change some lock status member in ocfs2_lock_res to char.) states that these fields need to be signed due to comparision to -1, but only changed the type from unsigned char to char. However, it is a compiler option if char is a signed or unsigned type. Change these fields to signed char so the code will work with all compilers. Signed-off-by: Milton Miller <miltonm at

dare to compare -- live streams: ogg/WMA
hello, I like your point here .. it's difficult to make such a comparision, since yacast.fr choosed to stream like that. Why did they choose to stream like that? That's beyond me, since Radio France has a budjet of millions. The point of this comparision was to show why is Radio France doing and paying for something like this? Me, with cheap computers which were had no more value (well,

BUGS n code generated for target i386 compiling __bswapdi3, and for target x86-64 compiling __bswapsi2()
Hi @ll, targetting i386, LLVM/clang generates wrong code for the following functions: unsigned long __bswapsi2 (unsigned long ul) { return (((ul) & 0xff000000ul) >> 3 * 8) | (((ul) & 0x00ff0000ul) >> 8) | (((ul) & 0x0000ff00ul) << 8) | (((ul) & 0x000000fful) << 3 * 8); } unsigned long long __bswapdi2(unsigned long

[LLVMdev] code generation removes duplicated instructions
Thank you for replying. Yes. The remaining part of the BB is in splitted basic block. The following is an example code generation for arm and x86 for a same IR BB. In the x86 code I can see that the same computation is done twice and result is stored in two different registers and then these two different registers are used for comparision. By the way I am duplicating instruction and inserting

Numeric Range or comparision doesn''t work
Hi, it looks like Ferret still compares numeric fields by lexical ordering, not numerical ordering. I am using Ferret 0.11.4(I tried in both linux and windows, the results are the same). index = Ferret::Index::Index.new() docs = [ {:num => 1, :data => "yes"}, {:num => 1, :data => "no"}, {:num => 10, :data => "yes"}, {:num => 10, :data

random forest -optimising mtry
Dear R-helpers, I'm working on mass spectra in randomForest/R, and following the recommendations for the case of noisy variables, I don't want to use the default mtry (sqrt of nvariables), but I'm not sure up to which proportion mtry/nvariables it makes sense to increase mtry without "overtuning" RF. Let me tell my example: I have 106 spectra belonging to 4 classes, the
