Fwd: Re: [SOLVED] Configuring Quota on Dovecot 1.0.13-1~bpo40+1
Thank you Tomasz! The quota per user worked fine now... The problem was that in dovecot.conf I had these lines: userdb static { args = uid=5000 gid=5000 home=/home/vmail/%d/%n allow_all_users=yes } And I just changed to: userdb sql { args = /etc/dovecot/dovecot-sql.conf } Now it's working... bye! Vexim with LDA delivery
No support help needed, just a success report having Dovecot integrate with Vexim (exim with web based frontend and sql db): http://silverwraith.com/vexim/ Just wanted to forward some configs to the list if anyone finds them useful. I just switched from vexim's normal "virtual_delivery" to "dovecot_virtual_delivery" so I could use sieve, which works nicely with

Problem with virtual mail user login users uid not permitted
Hello, I am trying to run exim 4.68 and dovecot 1.0.13 on Solaris 10 x86 5/08 using dovecot lda and sieve with virtual users and domains, tls and ssl. At the moment certificates are from my internal CA Exim and Dovecot, dovecot lda and dovecot sieve were downloaded and installed from Blastwave. this kind of behavior. I have some encrypted filesystems that I would like to manage with puppet, they require manual passphrase intervention, so I cannot manage the actual mounting of those filesystems with puppet (nor do I want to), but I would like those filesystems to appear in the fstab and be available as a pre-requisite for various other file types. I would like to be able to do something

Migration from tpop3d to dovecot - troubles galore!
Hi people, I am trying to migrate some users from tpop3d (Maildir mailboxes) to dovecot. The most important aspect of this migration, and which I cannot seem to get right, is to first be able to make dovecot to authenticate against the current DB being used by tpop3d so that I can use imapsync to transfer the user mails. And I do believe that is what I am unable to get right!! So here goes what

System users, mbox format and global ACLs

So, before digging into the source code, I would really be delighted if someone could immediately point a mistake I'm making and miserably overlooking. The output of dovecot -n is provided at the end of this email. Just in case, conforming to the suggestion made in

Authentication Problem with dovecot-2.3.0.1
I am a little confused here. I have been running 2.2.34 which I installed in /opt/dovecot2.2 I installed 2.3.0.1 to /opt/dovecot23 I then used config files from /opt/dovecot2.2/etc/dovecot to /opt/dovecot2.3/etc/dovecot and all I did was sed -i.BAK 's/dovecot2.2/dovecot2.3/g'. Dovecot started and was running file. Next, I manually crafted config files for 2.3.0.1 based on the example
