upgrade from beta9 to rc1 - lost access to messages and folders
Hello All, Upgraded a test machine this morning from beta9 to rc1 and lost access to messages and folders. an strace on the imap process shows it accessing the home directory, but not the mail directory. The two queries that I use are: password_query = SELECT email,crypt as password FROM users WHERE email = '%u' user_query = SELECT homedir AS home, maildir AS mail, 1000 AS uid, 1000

pop-3 login delay
We are running Dovecot 1.0.beta9 w/ mysql authentication. Mail storage is a Network Appliance F810 filer and we are using maildir. The only issue that we have run into is that pop3 logins take much longer than imap logins within dovecott and many times longer than a similar connection with courier-imap. For example, dovecot IMAP and courier-imap POP3 and IMAP logins take less than 1/2

maildir++ quota bug...
Running RC2 with maildrop and MDA: dovecot writes a positive quota count, then the negative quota count on messages delivered with maildrop. For example, message #1 arrives via maildrop: 4488236 1 message is deleted via dovecot: 4488236 1 -4488236 -1 This does not happen when the user accesses the message, only when it is deleted. The user never gets credit for deleting

Maildir++ quota - how to handle a full mailbox
Hello all, We are using Horde/IMP and we are having problems deleting messages from accounts where the user is very close to going over quota. My test environment includes: Horde 3 IMP 4.1.2 dovecot 1.0rc2 postfix maildrop I created a user and set the quota at 13MB. I then sent a 10MB file to the user - which was received. However, when I attempt to move the message from the INBOX to

Dovecot 1.0.beta9, emails disappearing?
Hi, I've been using Dovecot successfully for a while and I've recently encountered an issue : I got to work today and half the emails, were deleted... and after careful investigation : - On Monday it seems, the emails magically vanished .. (what I've been told) - My backup from Tuesday morning at 3am, indicates that all the files (mailbox) are intact but the subscription file is

reshaping result of by()
Hello, I'm trying to build a frequency table for a vector, broken down by the combination of factors. For further analyses, I need to have the result arranged in a new data frame, with the upper limit of the histogram's breaks, the per bin count, and the factors identifying each record. My problem is including the latter: ---<---------------cut

of c, cat, paste, and lists??
Still trying to get a handle on c, cat, paste, and lists. Here is my current problem. I have a good number of vectors that I want to selectively combine into a dataframe. The exact name of the vectors changes in a looping arrangement but can easily be grepped. The problem is: how can I use a list produced by a grep in a data.frame command: i.e. > ls() [1] "a"

indexing within panels in xyplot
Dear R-helpers, I need to show a linear fit through a subset of the data within each combination of levels of two factors. So I prepared an xyplot with different panels for each level of one of the factors, and different symbols within each panel for the levels of the second factor. My problem is selecting the subset of each combination through which the line should be fit for subsequent

courier-imap transition

Throttle New Connections?
All, Is anyone using iptables (recent module), or any other alternatives, to throttle the number of new imap or pop connections per minute? We have some applications that like to login every second to pull mail using imap, so we'd like to protect the entire dovecot server from these applications. We've already made the change over to high-perf mode, but we still need some type of denial

Parameters setting in functions optimization
Good afternoon everybody, I'm quite new in functions optimization on R and, whereas I've read lot's of function descriptions, I'm not sure of the correct settings for function like "optimx" and "nlminb". I'd like to minimize my parameters and the loglikelihood result of the function. My parameters are a mean distance of dispersion and a proportion of

How limits are set in a scales list
I have a lattice plot that has 4 pages with 4 columns and 8 rows per page. I wish to have the rows use a separate x-axis since their ranges are quite different, but I wish to have those same limits used on each page. By setting an element of the scales list to something like x = list(limits = lim.list$CFU, lim.list$CFU, lim.list$CFU, lim.list$CFU,

QCC and PlotMath question
For some reason, using the qcc package, I'm unable to use the plotmath notation in the title. Can anyone see what I'm doing wrong? library(qcc) a <- rnorm(100) qcc(a,type="xbar.one",title=expression(bar(X)),ylab=expression(CFU/ft^3) ) This seems to not let the expression be evaluated, so I tried:

multi-homed samba PDC and NetApp filers
We are having a problem getting a NetApp filer to re-join a samba domain after a move to a new network. The filer worked fine with samba before the move. Apologies in advance for the long missive. I've tried the following: - re-running the CIFS setup program on the filer - removing the problem filer's samba account, replacing it, and re-running the setup program on the filer

Crash - What is happening here???
The following transfer led to a crash of asterisk, without leaving a core or any utterances in messages or debug file. It looks like the zombie which was created during the MASQ-transfer was not cleaned up... But why did it start a Dial??? And... why does Asterisk die when this happens?? Thanks!!! SAMBA with NetApp filer
I'm newbies in SAMBA and NetApp filer , I use Filer with OpenLDAP as an authentication and authorization server , but look like NetApp doesn't work properly ( can't authentication ) , NetApp engineer suggest me that NetApp work properly with pure ActiveDirectory Environment. not SAMBA + OpenLDAP backend like me have. so I solve this problem by make Samba as native PDC and use
