"Failed to create rounding.h!" during make
Hello All,
I'm attempting to compile rsync on Solaris 10 x86 to include atime
support.
I've managed to patch the source, and install gcc and the necessary other
packages necessary to get as far as ./configure successfully (I'm afraid
I'm more of a linux than a solaris guy).
I'm unable to "make" the Makefile. Did some STFW'ing and have found

rsync set up problem
Hi,
I downloaded rsync-2.6.7pre2 and ran the configure without problem. But
'make' showed a bunch of errors (see below). What do I need to do to
correct this problem? Thanks.

dovecot-2.1-pigeonhole-0.3.0 identifier redeclared: sieve_multiscript_run (patch)
Hi,
I recently compiled dovecot-2.1.1 on Solaris 10 with Sun Studio, but
when I want to compile Sieve for this version
(dovecot-2.1-pigeonhole-0.3.0) I get an error:
"sieve.c", line 578: identifier redeclared: sieve_multiscript_run
and I see that declaration in sieve.h is different from definition in
sieve.c, so compilation process fails with SunStudio cc compiler.

simplified siginfo_t definition?
I now have a Solaris account and I''ve been able to try out my
DT_Logger code there. I ran into several issues, but the one
I''m stuck on (though working around :-) is the need for a much
simplified siginfo_t definition.
I looked at /usr/include/sys/siginfo.h, but I can''t figure out
what the maze of #ifdefs would actually resolve to, so I don''t
know which data

Cant compile Zaptel at all
I have been trying to compile Zaptel 1.0-RC1 that I just downloaded via tarball on my debian 3.0 system running a 2.4.26 kernel. I have all the headers, libraries and sources installed for the kernel along with the latest versions of GCC. I dont know what else to do to trouble shoot this so I have included the entire output below.
Thanks a lot!

problems compiling R on AIX5.1
Dear all,
after trying to compile R on our IBM Power3/AIX 5.1 machine I've
been able to run it correctly.
First of all I would thank all who responded my mails.
I explain here how I've done it:
First of all, it seems that configure and some shared libraries of
AIX does not work at the same time. I tried to configure & make with
the following environment vars
CC=xlc
F77=xlf
CCC=xlC
