deliver+quota assertion
When stressing dovecot's delivery agent, I sporadically encountered
the following assertion failures and the associated errors. I was
trickling in ~50 messages per minute to this mailbox via postal.

(Somewhat urgent) Problem with maildir++ quota
Hi.
I have an strange problem with dovecot's maildir quota and postfix.
I've tested quota and it works fine but sometimes there are users that
having their Maildir/ empty, they trigger the "quota exceeded" message
when someone sends email to them.
Some config / version info:

1.1rc4 problem with maildir++ quota and POP3
Hi,
it looks like there is a bug (in dovecot or in my config) with quota on maildir
mailboxes when accessed via POP3.
The maildirsize is not created when not already present (even after a DELE +
QUIT command). The quota limit (the first line of maildirsize) is not updated
if values are not in sync with those in the database.
If maildirsize is present, DELE commands are correctly reported in

Maildir++ problem
Hi to all,
I am semi-new to the dovecot system, but i like it very much for the
versatility of all the system. I have a problem: i am migrating my
servers from postfix with vda patch + courier imap to dovecot. All works
fine, except for one thing: i use Maildir++ format, but i don't know how
to make the file maildirsize into the home of the users. This file is
needed by me becouse i have a

Maildir++ implementation issues.
Hi Timo and crew!
I'm doing more testing with Dovecot and Maildrop today and have run across
some strangeness.
It appears as if Maildrop stores updates to the maildirquota file in a way
that causes Dovecot to ignore them.
In my test scenario, Dovecot just rebuilt my maildirsize file to the
following:
0S
86213796 108

Getting maildir++ quotas working
Can somebody post details for how to get maildir++ quotas working in the
latest CVS?
I have tried but can't get the CAPABILITY string to show "QUOTA"; and the
GETQUOTAROOT command is recognized, but returns nothing...

maildir++ specification compliance.
Hi folks.
I was doing some testing this morning and realized Dovecot RC2 isn't fully
compliant with the maildir++ specification.
Most notably, it appears that Dovecot isn't creating a "maildirfolder"
file (0 byte length) in folders it creates.

Patch for rawlog.c
hello
The homedirectories are stored as a relative path in my userdb
One problem ocoures with rawlog:
rawloging occures only if a directory $HOME/dovecot.rawlog exist.
this is checked with lstat
for me $HOME is always "username/". This is relative to /var/mail and works.
in rawlog.c lstat should now check "username//dovecot.rawlog" which fails.
lstat can check

Maildir++ quota inconsistency
I've found what I think is an inconsistency in the Maildir quota
implementation. According to the Maildir++ quota specification at:
http://www.inter7.com/courierimap/README.maildirquota.html
Maildir++ quota can be specified as maximum size, or maximum number of
messages, or even both. The size specification is supposed to be in bytes.
So I could use '10000000S' to set a quota of

minimial maildir++ quota for dovecot-0.99
Hello,
I'm using dovecot-0.99.14, and I wonder if anyone has created patch for
*minimal* Maildir++ support.
By minimal Maildir++ support, I mean the following:
(1) New messages created by dovecot will include the ,S=nnnnn string in the
unique identifier so that Maildir++ clients don't have to stat the file to
know the size.
(2) Dovecot will append to the maildirsize file when a message

maildir++ quota support on dovecot
Some information about maildir++ that I have read:
http://www.inter7.com/courierimap/README.maildirquota.html
http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Quota/Maildir
When I have to deliver a message with an MDA I can use dovecot-lda.
If I have enabled "quota = maildir:User quota" I am pretty sure that in
the mailbox on file system I find a file named "maildirsize"
maildirsize on top contain

Beta 7 maildir++ "unlimited quota"
Hi.
It looks like Beta 7 is treating a zero quota in maildirsize as a literal
quota value. The maildir++ specification says a zero quota means
unlimited.

quotas on shared folders
Hi,
After using dovecot 0.99.14 on a production server with full
satisfaction, I'm now giving a try to 1.0beta8 (I know beta9 is out, but
it's not yet available within Debian). The new features are great.
Maildir++ quotas seem to work fine, and shared folders look promising
(despite a few issues).
My problem is that I could not fire out how to set quotas on shared
folders. Is it

1.0 beta 9 problems
Two problems with this new beta not found in beta 8.
1. mbox_from_create error
This is the configure string I use, and I paste the make error message
below. I have to use "--with-storages=maildir,mbox" to get around the error.
./configure \
--prefix=/opt1/dovecot \
--localstatedir=/var \
--without-shadow \

Asterisk to Broadvoice SIP peer fails in 1.6.9-beta9
In a 1.2 release of asterisk, I've had no problem connecting to a Broadvoice SIP peer, to allow routing outgoing calls from Asterisk to Broadvoice. Now, with the same SIP configuration, I cannot establish the peer. I've enclosed a SIP log in the hope that someone can help me analyze this failure. I'd guess the issue is NAT related and wondering if someone can spot a problem in the

Dovecot IMAP not putting size in maildir filenames
I notice that when you move a message from one maildir folder to another,
Dovecot drops the size information ("S=") from the filename. Dovecot also
does not add the size info to filenames after it gets it via stat().
Shouldn't Dovecot add the size info to the filename so that "maildirsize"
recalculations are fast?
