Override config in deliver command line
Hi all In dovecot deliver LDA, is there a way to override some configuration settings for particular users? Tha full story is: I have a simple postfix/dovecot setup. No virtual users, delivery is done in /home/mail/%u. For a specific user, I would like to deliver to a maildir. Since mail_location is not explicitly configured, I simply created ~/Maildir for that user, relying on the default

Dovecor 1.2 : Command output: Fatal: Unknown argument: flags=DRhu Usage: deliver [-c <config file>] [-a <address>] [-d <username>] [-p <path>] [-f <envelope sender>] [-m <mailbox>] [-n] [-s] [-e] [-k] )
Hi there, I changed postfix to pass email to spamassassin, and then deliver to dovecot LDA. It fails to deliver. The current entry in master.cf now reads: dovecot unix - n n - - pipe flags=DRhu user=vmail:vmail argv=/usr/lib/dovecot/deliver -d ${recipient} smtp inet n - - - - smtpd -o content_filter=spamassassin

Dual ISP config: How to forward DNS requests to the proper server?
I''m using Shorewall with a load-balanced muti-ISP config along with LSM for failover. It''s working great, except for DNS requests. I''d appreciate some advice on how to best configure this. The WAN connections are a T1 through XO and a cable connection through Comcast. About 80% of the traffic is routed out the Comcast connection under normal connections. I would

dovecot-deliver auth-master error
Hi all, I'm trying to get the sieve plugin to work, but with little result. I'm following http://wiki.dovecot.org/LDA, http://wiki.dovecot.org/LDA/Postfix and http://wiki.dovecot.org/LDA/Sieve but it won't work. As I have virtual users from several virtual domains, I added the "virtual users - with lookup" section from http://wiki.dovecot.org/LDA, but now dovecot fails

deliver failing to execute sendmail (sieve)
I have apparently done something to mess up my test installation, as deliver's attempts to send messages now fail with the following error: deliver(user at example.com): execv() failed: No such file or directory In these cases, I have sieve rules trying to send messages. It had been working though, and I've tried going through all the changes I made yesterday (related to dictionary

Postfix - dspam - dovecot deliver fails at deliver
I have Postfix & Dovecot working properly with mail delivered to the user's ~/Maildir using the postfix config: mailbox_command = /usr/lib/dovecot/deliver I would like to insert dspam in between, passing mail from postfix to dspam and then to dovecot/deliver for delivery. My objective is to only filter incoming mail. This set up doesn't seem to be documented anywhere that

dovecot-deliver occasionally fails to deliver, leaving no clues
Hello, I have a FreeBSD 7.1 x86 system using dovecot with postfix and a mysql user database. Everything works completely fine, except that on occasion dovecot-deliver fails. When postfix tries to redeliver the message in about 15 minutes, it succeeds. So this isn't a very big problem, just an annoying puzzle. Here's the postfix log. At first, I thought it could be a postfix

Changing the imaps port #
Dovecot 2.3.4, FreeBSD 11.2 Due to comcast buisness ISP intercepting imaps I need to have my clients connect to non-standard port (9999). Previously I had been using stunnel to receive the imaps connection and forward it to the imap port over 127.0.0.1. But I would like to retire stunnel and have my imap clients connect remotely. I have configured the imap-login service - service imap-login {

deliver fails - passdb doesn't support lookups?
Hello, I'm trying to get `deliver` (the LDA) to function properly. I can get it to work without doing a user lookup, but for my own sense of sanity, I want to know what I'm doing wrong getting user lookups working. (I'm using dovecot 1.0.10). Here's what I have in the "auth default" section: auth default { mechanisms = plain login passdb ldap

Dovecot-deliver lookup fails
Hi all, I'm still trying to get Dovecot-deliver to work in my config. I have found the problem to be in the maildir lookup for Dovecot-deliver as logged in /var/log/maillog: "Apr 15 16:30:34 termserv dovecot: auth(default): static(user at zesgoes.nl): passdb doesn't support lookups, can't verify user's existence" The thing I don't get, is that if I remove

Everything is working fine if I disable plugin ACL from lda section in dovecot config. lmtp sometimes fails to deliver a message to all recipients
Dovecot version: 2.1.3 lmtp config: protocol lmtp { mail_plugins = zlib acl sieve } Running strace on lmtp reveals that when lmtp delivers a message to multiple recipients it saves the message to a file in the first mailbox and hard links that file to other mailboxes. But when in the meantime of delivery that file is deleted, lmtp fails to deliver the message to remaining mailboxes. For
