Hi, I've set up a dovecot server under redhat enterprise 4.3 with the basic configuration(mbox). Everything runs fine under webmail(squirrelmail) and thunderbird. When I try it under outlook/outlook express tough, it takes a couple of minutes after the authentication to get all headers where it takes a couple of seconds under thunderbird(both windows and linux version). I have come across a strange situation, involving new accounts. I am running Dovecot 0.99.10-5 on Fedora Core 2. Dovecot is configured to use pam for authentication, and the dovecot pam service is configured to use pam_mkhomedir. When an account is created and the user logs in through SquirrelMail, there is no problem. The standard folders are available - Inbox, Drafts, Sent Items and Trash.
