need help with dovecot-lda
Hello all! Some month ago I upgraded our dovecot installation from version 1.0.5 to version 2.1.7 without having any trouble. Postfix is delivering email directly per virtual transport to the maildirs and mailboxes of the users in /var/spool/vhosts/domains/.... Now I want to use dovecot-lda and created a new entry in the master.cf of postfix. dovecot unix - n n - -

RMagick on OS X - HOW
Hello all. I''m a seasoned system administrator and have no fear of building source packages on a variety of platforms, but RMagick has, until recently, evaded all of my attempts to building it on my PowerBook. Someone else just mentioned that they had trouble with RMagick on OS X (Intel, don''t really know if my advice will help) so I decided to post a HOWTO to the list. I

problem to configuration dovecot and postfix
Hi, I'm having a problem with dovecot and postfix. I'm using a dovecot version 2.0.13. Postfix (Version: 2.8.5) config is changed according to the http://wiki2.dovecot.org/LDA/Postfix: I have thought to build a virtual user and virtual mailbox, and use the functionality of the Sieve. However, when the test set, the mail not received the mailbox. Record that there was a "temporary

sanity-checking plans for glmer
Having briefly fallen for the notion that the negative.binomial family in MASS could be used in glmer, I want to use these lists for a sanity check on my final (?) plans. I want to use glmer for logistic regression and for poisson regression on a data set of 10,000 items. There will be two crossed random effects. For the logistic regression, I want odds ratios with confidence intervals. For the

sweep sanity checking?
A friend of mine just got bitten by the fact that sweep() will happily sweep out a STATS vector of an arbitrary length -- even one whose length is not a divisor of any of the margins -- without complaining. I know the answer to this could be "well just don't do that", but it's easy to make a mistake in which margin you're sweeping ... What would R-core think of the

mail extra field to override default mail_location for only certain users
I am running version 1.1.1 with mail_location: maildir:~/Maildir. This is working great as all our users have UNIX accounts with nologin shells. New domains (and their users) are about to come online and we would like to migrate to a setup with virtual mailboxes/users. From the wiki and comments within dovecot.conf, I see it is possible to do this piecemeal so both local and virtual users

integrating procmail
Hello, list members! I'm new to dovecot, and haven't needed to maintain an email server instance for quite some time. I recently got a fairly simple postfix + dovecot installation functional as needed, however I now need to get procmail filtering incoming mail, and after reading various docs and wikis, I find that I'm still having a tough time feeling confident on how best to

Um, what's with the triple colon? At least on my install, double seems to suffice: > identical(utils:::install.packages, utils::install.packages) [1] TRUE > install.packages function (...) .rs.callAs(name, hook, original, ...) <environment: 0x7f79e0019860> -pd > On 21 Mar 2024, at 09:58 , Duncan Murdoch <murdoch.duncan at gmail.com> wrote: > > The good news for

Yes, you're right. The version found in the search list entry for "package:utils" is the RStudio one; the ones found with two or three colons are the original. Update configuration for separate mail directory
I have a small mail server with virtual users. In my /etc/dovecot/conf.d/10- mail.conf I have this setting: mail_location = maildir:/var/mail/vhosts/%d/%u which is also the home location of each user. Now I learned that this is not the prefered configuration, and in fact some of my sieve subdirectories are mistaken as mail directories. While I understand that I have to create separate mail

RDOC and dot on mac
All, This is probably a bit more of a mac question, but here goes. (Admission: I posted this to ruby-talk as well....) I am trying to use rdoc -d to generate class diagrams on a mac running Tiger (OS X 10.4) for a rails app. I managed to get dot installed, but now am running into problems with dot looking for libraries that either do not exist or are apparently in the wrong place. I probably made

rails on OS X 10.3.9 not working
Hello, I''ve installed Ruby 1.8.4 via Darwinports, installed gem 0.8.11 too and then installed Rails via gem. I''m using OS X 10.3.9. When I now type rails in the terminal, the following lines appear: # rails /opt/local/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/activesupport-1.2.5/lib/ active_support/values/time_zone.rb:12: undefined method `attr_reamer'' for TimeZone:Class

With all this discussion, I shudder to ask this. I may have missed the answers but the discussion seems to have been about identifying and solving the problem rapidly rather than what maybe is best going forward if all parties agree. What was the motivation for what RSTUDIO did for their version and the decision to replace what came with utils unless someone very explicitly over-rode them by
