Debian packages for dovecot 1.1.x
Because I'm tired of seeing Debian users look like idiots for using such horribly out of date versions just because they run "stable", I've set up a page with .deb packages of my 1.1.x rebuilds for use under lenny. http://www.rollernet.us/opensource/ Standard disclaimer applies: use at your own risk, no warranty, no support, if it eats your first born or erases your computer

Contour Plot on a non Rectangular Grid
Dear All, I would like to plot a scalar (e.g. a temperature) on a non-rectangular domain (or even better: I would simply like to be able to draw a contour plot on an arbitrary 2D domain). I wonder if there is any tool to achieve that with R. I did some online search in particular on the list archives, found several queries similar to this one but was not able to find any conclusive answer. I

Input on application design
I have an online doctor/dentist search. Right now I have all the code in one controller, with separate views and actions for the doctor and dentist. About 80% of the code in both the controller and the view is shared. Doctors and dentists are in separate tables with different (yet very similiar) schema''s. So the sql queries are different, and some of the information displayed in the

Predicting responses using ace
Hello everybody, I'm a new user of R and I'm working right now with the ACE function from the acepack library. I Have a question: Is there a way to predict new responses using ACE? What I mean is doing something similar to the following code that uses PPR (Projection Pursuit Regression): library(MASS) x <- runif(20, 0, 1) xnew <- runif(2000, 0, 1) y <- sin(x) a <- ppr(x, y,

Troubleshooting enhancement request...
Hi Timo, You were good enough to add the -n flag to the dovecot command to output the current *changed* config parameters (changed as compared to the defaults) of the running dovecot process. This makes it much easier to troubleshoot issues - thanks! Another flag that postfix has is the -d flag (postconf -d). This one outputs all of the DEFAULTS of the current running postfix

my postfix ignores myhostname parameter
Hello guys, I do not know how it is posible : *vi /etc/postfix/main.cf* # INTERNET HOST AND DOMAIN NAMES # # The myhostname parameter specifies the internet hostname of this # mail system. The default is to use the fully-qualified domain name # from gethostname(). $myhostname is used as a default value for many # other configuration parameters. # #myhostname = host.domain.tld myhostname =

Postfix problem
Hi I have a CentOS 4.2 server with postfix. The problem I'm having is that postfix insists on using $myhostname in the from field even if I instruct it to use $mydomain in /etc/postfix/main.cf or even if I hard code the domain name into $myorigin. What am I missing? BTW: postconf shows output shows that $myorigin is configured to use $mydomain, or the domain name itself ...
