Courier to Dovecot Maildir converstion
Hello,
I am running Dovecot 0.99 on OpenSuse 10.0. Previously, I was running
courier IMAP with vpopmail on Suse 9.3. In the process of the change, I
decided to sing MySQL to authenticate the users, provide home dir, uid and
gid.
I tar'ed up the old mail directories, moved them to the new server, added a
new user and group to own the files, set the files uid/gid to match the
values in the

Maildir subfolder conversion from courier-imap
Hello,
I am trying to convert a maildir that was managed by courier-imap up to
now to dovecot. I am using the courier-dovecot-migrate.pl script as follows:
courier-dovecot-migrate.pl --convert --recursive ~/Maildir
However, this command only seems to convert the base maildir, but not
all the subfolders. I thought that that's what the --recursive option
was for.
Is the command above

UIDL conversion courier -> dovecot
I've got a weird split setup where POP3 is currently handled by Courier
(courier-imap-3.0.2 distribution), and IMAP is currently handled by the
RHEL 5 version of Dovecot (1.0.7)
I'm trying to figure out a way to convert the POP3 UIDLs (in cases where
the courierpop3dsizelist is newer than dovecot-uidlist, at least) to
something that Dovecot will read, or to configure Dovecot's pop3 to

Maildir migration: Courier-imap 4.4.3 to Dovecot 1.2.
Hi all.
I am currently gathering information about migration of Maildir/
structures from Courier to Dovecot.
What do you think about http://wiki.dovecot.org/Migration/Courier ?
For each courier Maildir account I want to use
http://www.dovecot.org/tools/courier-dovecot-migrate.pl to produce
dovecot-uidlist file
mv courierimapsubscribed subscriptions
sed sed -i 's/INBOX\.//' subscriptions

migration and conversion from courier
Dear all,
back in January I posted about migration from courier and in
particular on the script courier-dovecot-migrate.pl.
That script had a bug on BSD (or should I say not-Linux?) type
systems*. On FreeBSD (6.1) and MacOSX (10.5) it appended a lot of
binary garbage at the end of dovecot-keywords files.
On a couple of systems I had not actually run the script with the --
convert option,

Compiling 1.0alpha5 on Mac OS X 10.4 Server
I am trying to compile the 1.0alpha5 on Mac OS X Server 10.4.3, and
not having success. My configure flags are:
./configure --with-mysql
We're thinking of migrating from courier.
The configure processes okay, but I get this error a ways through the
make:
/usr/bin/ld: multiple definitions of symbol _sha1_result
../lib/liblib.a(sha1.o) definition of _sha1_result in section

User defined grid on map
This may be a trivial question for some of you: Is there a way to add
defined grid sizes on specific areas of a map?. I want to add 10kmx10km
grids to all California coastal counties:
"california,alameda", "california,contra costa", "california,del norte",
"california,humboldt", "california,los angeles", "california,marin",

courier-dovecot-migrate.pl and courier-5: UTF-8 flag
Hi,
Courier to dovecot migration script
https://dovecot.org/tools/courier-dovecot-migrate.pl
referenced at the https://wiki.dovecot.org/Migration/Courier
page has a couple of problems. One of them is that the script
could not process courierpop3dsizelist generated by courier-5.
File format has been changed a bit to mark UTF-8 messages
with an additional attribute.
Is it safe to ignore such flag

Hello fellas,
Firstly, I would like to apologize for the post being long, but I would
appreciate if someone with a good knowledge of the subject gave his opinion.
I am working on a backup solution for a series of old and very specialized
host computers in aviation industry.
I need to do monthly backups of one or two logical volumes (non-OS) on each
of the computers and keep the last 12 monthly

Migration from Courier to dovecot
hi list,
I've just registered to the list, so please be tolerant ;) I'm currently
in the process of planning the migration from courier to dovecot as
POP/IMAP-Server. I'm migration from Courier 0.58 (Debian-Etch-packages)
to Dovecot 1.1.13 (Debian Lenny Backport).
The conversion of the Mailbox from Courier to Dovecot will be done with
"courier-dovecot-migrate.pl"-script[1],

migrating from Courier
I've been running postfix/courier-ssl/MySQL/postfixadmin for years, but since I am in the process of building a new server I decide to reexamine my options. I'm sticking with postfix, but I've decided to move from courier to dovecot because everyone is telling me it's much faster, and I really dislike courier's SASL setup and integration with other services.
Of course, I have

Courier to Dovecot: problems with folders
Hi all,
I am migrating a maildir Courier-IMAP installation to Dovecot.
Almost everything seems to work well, but I still have problems
accessing subfolders.
First let's see what I have done.
I used the courier-dovecot-migrate.pl script suggested in
http://wiki.dovecot.org/Migration/Courier to convert mailboxes from
Courier to Dovecot. No problems here.
My dovecot.conf contains this:
