Hi. -alpha2 broke the retr-byte-count field of the pop3_logout_format with the following change: -Added %R (reverse string) and %H (hash string) variable modifiers. %R as modifier conflicts on expand with %R as retr-byte-count in pop3_logout_format resulting in expanded strings like: top=0/0, retr=1/ del=0/1, size=431 seen in -alpha3 -alpha4 cvs as of 04.11.2005 FreeBSD 5.4-R, both i386

I have followed the all the documentation and examples I could find. Below are my Dovecot and Postfix configs. Can someone please smack me upside the head and tell me why I am getting "user unknown" errors? If i don't use deliver as the LDA, all

IMAP Dovecot unknown namespace creating root folders
Hi, I hope someone can point me in the right direction here. I am migrating a mailbox from a non cPanel server, and the mailboxes have folders which seem to be at the same level as the Inbox. The users access these mailboxes using IMAP. The new server configuration is Exim > Dovecot 1.2.17 > Maildir with the standard cPanel install settings. dovecot -n output below I have created the new

I am not certain why they are not well behaved.? Here is the configuration information. This configuration is currently running at a load average of 17. /usr/sbin/dovecot -n # 2.1.15:

spamc can't seem to call /usr/lib/dovecot/deliver
Hi, My server uses a system comprised of postfix, dovecot and dspam to filter and deliver mail. Postfix used the following flags in calling spamc and dovecot: flags=DRhu user=dovecot:secmail argv=/usr/bin/spamc -u ${recipient} -e /usr/lib/dovecot/deliver -d ${recipient} after an upgrade from Debian lenny to squeeze we were able to get everything working except spam filtering. Bug? auth(default) Authentication client gave a PID of existing connection
Hello, My first time on this list, just switched from courier imap/pop3 system to dovecot. Imap part is great, pop3 seems to suffer, been fighting it for a week. Anyway, the reason for this post is that I have seen these pop up in my logs, and on one of my mailheads there were some 50 lines of this dovecot: 2008-10-26 09:33:54 Error: auth(default): BUG: Authentication client gave a PID 15661 of

dovecot POP3 log shows too many identical RETR entries
Hello, Dovecot log is showing too many POP3 RETR entries which are identical lines. I also suspect that it is causing high pop traffic eating most of the network bandwidth. Here are some of the lines out of 11009 in a day. Such pattern is observed only for few users. dovecot version is 2.1.17. ============== Mar 20 00:00:07 pi3 dovecot: pop3(user at example.com): Disconnected: Logged out

logging beg - again
Hello, [Old problem; if it was fixed, I cannot see it (checked Changelog, wiki, source, as much as my grepping counts). Any help appreciated.] I have been begging since 2003 to be able to trash qpopper and use dovecot, but statistical logging of dovecot has been pretty much absent. Qpopper does this: Aug 19 11:18:02 mail in.qpopper[8099]: Stats: userid 0 0 12 51773 user.example.com

More verbose logging of POP transactions?
Hi all - I'm brand new to dovecot (0.99.14 on freebsd 5) and am just playing with it a bit. POP works just fine, but the only thing that shows up in my logs is this: Sep 7 11:46:25 freebsd5 pop3-login: Login: philip [10.28.61.200] Thought maybe syslog was quietly eating things, but told dovecot to use it's own log file and it didn't improve. Is there a way to turn on more

Dovecot 2.2.13 error message
Maybe I misunderstand. Each user is only able to access their mailbox from a single connection at a time. Other users can access the NFS Spool from other connections, I think that is what I am calling Concurrent connections. Is that the same definition you have?
