Patch to src/auth/mech-gssapi.c
This bug causes a segfault when compiled against heimdal, but not
MIT krb5. Either way, I think this code is correct.

Hi,
I am receiving this error when I put mail_plugins = acl imap_acl, even though the module is there.

rpm build problem with beta 3
Hi
I have a small problem with building a rpm of dovecot. I normally build
rpms from the tar balls to install on our servers.
With beta 3 I'm getting the error below. It builds fine if it is left
stock with no ldap support.
This the snip from the .spec file I put the --with-ldap as I require
ldap support however this is stoping it from building.
%configure \

Messages not expunged
Hi all,
I'm doing some testing between U of Washington IMAP server (which
we currently run) and Dovecot on a IBM AIX system. I created a
50M mailbox, made up of 262 msgs. I'm using a Perl Script with
the imap::client module to fetch each message and then flag it for
deletion. At the end of the test, I run an expunge to delete all
the messages.
UofW imap server ran fine, messages

Corrupt mbox handling
I've found that if an mbox file has two consecutive 'From' delimiters, I
get the error:
pop3(user): Error indexing mbox file /var/spool/mail/user: LF not found
where expected
UofW apparently ignores the second 'From' silently. I've been trying to
run dovecot in gdb to get more details on exactly what is happening, but
I haven't quite mastered the art of attaching to

compiling dovecot-sieve
Our server is an CentOS4.4 box and we use the atrpms built RPMs for
installing dovecot. I am wanting to use the sieve plug-in so I've
followed the dovecot wiki instructions, downloaded the files from CVS,
but I'm not sure what configure options to use. When I try without any
options I get:
dovecot-config not found from /usr/src/dovecot-sieve, use
--with-dovecot=PATH

How Can I Tell How Dovecot Was Installed?
I'm trying to help someone with Dovecot, and it looks like this one is
a few versions behind.
They say that they're not sure if it was installed Via an RPM or a
source tarball. Dovecot is use MySQL.
This is a RHEL5 server. There are RPMs listed as installed (rpm -qa)
but I don't know how I can tell what was used to install the currently
used set up. (also asking on the Postifix list)

1.0beta3 released
Since there have been so many requests, I guess it's time for beta3 now.
There are a couple of issues that I'm still concerned about, but those
probably happen with beta2 as well.
If you're beginning to see more connection hangs/timeouts with this
release, please tell me.
* Dotlock code changed to timeout faster in some situations when
the lock file is old.

Install/configure on FC4 with maildir and mysql
Hello,
I have a FC4 x64 server that I am configuring/testing.
It had dovecot 0.99 loaded after I did a yum update.
That worked great with mbox, the passwd file, and test users in
/home/users/username.
I would like to be able to authenticate virtual users by
'username at domain.com' and have them be able to use squirrelmail or
Outlook/Outlook Express to access their email.
Users have

1.0.beta5 released
Just two changes:
- Beta4's SSL proxying rewrite worked worse than I thought.
Reverted it back to original code.
- Filesystem quota plugin now looks up the mount path correctly.

1.0.beta7
Sorry, the authentication problem still wasn't actually fixed in beta6.
Now, this time I tested every possible authentication case that it
really works.
I'll soon create a CVS branch which is going to stabilize into the 1.0
release. I won't add new features there so it shouldn't really get
broken anymore, at least because of new features..
