Compiling drac.c on a 64 bit system
I have just installed dovecot and want to set up the drac interface. However, when I compile drac.c I get the following link errors; anybody know what the right compile options are for a 64 bit system? I have a Gentoo Linux system using the amd64 architecture. gcc -Wall -W -shared -fPIC -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I$dovecot -I$dovecot/src/lib drac.c -o drac.so -ldrac

drac plugin "net_ip2addr() failed: Operation not permitted"
Hi, I'm trying to get the drac plugin working (again) but I'm stuck with the following message: Restarting IMAP/POP3 mail server: dovecotEDRAC: net_ip2addr() failed: Operation not permitted This is on a Debian Squeeze box, dovecot version 1.2.15-7, drac version 1.12 Looking at the source it should print the IP in the brackets of net_ip2addr. The fact that it's just empty made me

fencing nodes with drac under 5.9
Hi all, A recent update to CentOS 5.9 has broken my cluster's ability to fence nodes. I have two Dell's which are both fenced via their DRAC6 cards. The current configuration in cluster.conf for the fencing devices is: <fencedevice agent="fence_drac5" cmd_prompt="admin1->" ipaddr="192.168.251.11" login="fencer" name="ms1-drac"

DRAC support?
Hi, I was hoping someone had a quick and dirty (is there any other kind) of patch for DRAC support for dovecot. This daemon is very slick, and I wish to replace my complex courier-imap setup. Drac 4 and CentOS 4
I am curious if the java requirements for the Drac4 have been updated? From what i have found in the archives the Drac 4 still requires an old java version? Could someone let me know if I am incorrect? -- My "Foundation" verse: Isa 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. 1.0.beta2 released
I had originally thought that I'd do a complete audit of the Dovecot's sources this weekend, but looks like I didn't. Hopefully I've been writing good enough code that the "1000 EUR for security hole" offer lasts for a long time. :) This release should fix the SSL parameter regeneration problem. There were two changes that were needed to fix it, but I had forgotten the

director stuck in inifite loop on 2.2.35
Occasionally, all of our directors get stuck in an endless loop. Likely triggered by some network event, but I haven't been able to isolate exactly what triggers it, and am unable to reproduce at the moment. When this happens, it makes the dovecot/director process on all directors unresponsive, making login impossible. Restarting dovecot "fixes" it. Here's the info collected

PostgreSQL driver supporting [round-robin] load balancing and redundancy [LONG]
One of the things my employer uses dovecot for is as mail download server for an 'e-mail purification service' (AV/ anti-spam) for smartphones. The service itself presently runs on a rented server somewhere in the UK and the corresponding 'web service' front-end and user account/ mail account database resides on a server in Germany. The UK dovecot server uses the PostgreSQL server

1.0beta3 released
Since there have been so many requests, I guess it's time for beta3 now. There are a couple of issues that I'm still concerned about, but those probably happen with beta2 as well. If you're beginning to see more connection hangs/timeouts with this release, please tell me. * Dotlock code changed to timeout faster in some situations when the lock file is old. + Added support for

indexer-worker crashes handling mails with big attachments (dovecot 2.2.16/2.2.18 + FTS Apache Solr + Tika)
Hi, yesterday i tried to setup Dovecot with Solr (3.6.2) + Tika (1.8) for FTS. i used a fresh Debian 8.0 system in the beginning with Dovecot 2.2.13 from the Debian repository. After i got some issues with Tika/Dovecot and i read on the mailinglist that these problems where fixed in 2.2.14+, so i tried 2.2.18. With 2.2.18 i get panics with big (ok... huge) attachments. Most mailboxes (and their

1.0.beta8 released
Next release will probably be called 1.0.rc1. People just don't seem to like the beta name in the version number. :) Also I think we're nearing the final v1.0. * Fixed a security hole with mbox: "1 LIST .. *" command could list all directories and files under the mbox root directory, so if your mails were stored in eg. /var/mail/%u/ directory, the command would list
