DDNS and DHCP problems
Another mistake : The louis's script ddns-kerberos-check.sh was not running in hourly.cron directory ( i make a chmod 770 to resolve that ) to recall here what I did: - I cloned the Windows 2000 server AD servers on a private network and I migrated to samba4 - Meanwhile, users have continued to use the Windows 2000 AD servers on the production network - I replaced the production servers

Securring DHCP, with DDNS
Hello All, I have 2 samba4 AD server with dhpd and dynamic DNS. I have well understand that for now it's not possible to have 2 DHCP server running in the same time. So I would have at a time only one dhcp server running. If the first server got a problem I want to manually start the isc-dhcp service in the second to rescue the system. But It's not working as I expected... If I switch

libvorbis compile failure
The latest CVS update of libvorbis fails to compile on SuSE Linux 6.4. The error is below. Also, what happened to the xmms plugin directory in cvs? It complains that it is missing when I do a 'cvs update'. gcc -DPACKAGE=\"libvorbis\" -DVERSION=\"1.0beta3\" -DHAVE_ALLOCA_H=1 -DHAVE_ ALLOCA=1 -I. -I. -I../include -O20 -ffast-math -mno-ieee-fp -D_REENTRANT -fs

Platform change, considerations?
Hello! I am switching hardware platform for my dovecot 1.0beta3 installation. From Sun Sparc (SS4) to Intel i386. OS platform will only change from OpenBSD 3.7 to 3.9. From Dovecot 1.0beta3 to beta8. Is there anything special to consider, in terms of endianness or other incompatibilities? I plan on a fresh install (compile) on the new machine, migrate the settings manually (by hand), test

Programming Help
Hi, I was hoping you could provide me with some pointers on how to get started adding some features to dovecot. What I am trying to do is add an optional publish mechanism, that would publish a list of events as they occur, so that an external program could read these events and do "something". These events would be "Add", "Delete", "Move" - these

1.0 beta3 not preserving X-Keyword header?
We've been putting 1.0 Beta 3 through the paces on our test system, and one of our users pointed out to me that Thunderbird's "labels" behave strangely on the new server. In fact, there used to be a header added to the message via IMAP when Thunderbird placed a label on a message, but as of the switch from 0.99.11 to 1.0beta3, this label header is no longer placed in the

Overflow in psy.c
In beta 3 (Windows, libvorbis-1.0beta3.zip, compiled using BCB), I get a runtime overflow on line 322 when encoding a simple pure tone (44100Hz, 96kbps, 128kbps, or 160kbps). Changing the float to a double avoids the problem. float val=decay[i]*decscale; float att=fabs(f[i]/val); /// floating point overflow ... Chris http://www.goldwave.com --- >8 ---- List archives:

Basic configuration problem "not a directory"
Hi, I've been struggling with getting dovecot up and running the last hour, but I seem to be stuck. When logging in (which I can do successfully) my connection is dropped, and the following is outputted to my dovecot log: dovecot: Apr 26 09:56:52 Fatal: chdir(/bin/false) failed with uid 513: Not a directory dovecot: Apr 26 09:56:52 Error: child 27345 (imap) returned error 89 .. Polycom IP4000 - Device does not match ACL
I am trying to configure a Polycom IP4000 for use with Asterisk 1.4.5 on a flat local network. I followed the provisioning guides that I found on the Web, and I have the phone downloading bootrom.ld, sip.ld, and a bunch of configuration files. This all works properly. However, I receive the following error: NOTICE[27345]: chan_sip.c:14725 handle_request_register: Registration from

vorbis.com
Form the vorbis.com homepage: "Ogg Vorbis does not compromise quality for freedom. Its stunning quality is coupled with aggressive features like fast bitrate scaling, surround channels, and fast sample-granularity seek and decode." This makes me wonder... -- What is "fast bitrate scaling"? -- I've never seen anything in the source supporting surround channels. -- I

DDNS and DHCP problems

Today we have shutdown the old windows 2000 server and put the 2 new samba4 in place of them. The problem is that the DHCP does not update the DNS systematically... That works with laptops ( which

Authentication Problem MD5 hashs
Hello I've migrated to dovecot-1.0beta3 and I have taken over the password files from an older system. For some reason the md5 hashs have "[" chars in the salt. For example like this $1$[xxxXX[E$bg/d4JdSSf2kTL8sXXxXXX Now the problem is that in the file src/auth/db-passwd-file.c on line 43 for libpam-pwdfile compatibility it will be searched for "[" to find the type

ov_read() reading too little.
Hi, I've ditched the idea of calling the oggvorbis .dlls, and I'm compiling the 1.0beta3 source into my own dll. After opening as "rb" instead of "r", the ov_open() call works. However, ov_read() seems to consistently read less data than I ask for. My buffer is enough to hold two seconds of data, 16 bit 44k mono, that's 176400 bytes. The first call to ov_read()
