When I installed CentOS it was with an old monitor, and it turned out that I could not get system-config-display to set it up correctly. I bought a new monitor and now all is well, except... Occasionally I ssh into my server to check something, and if it needs the gui I use 'ssh -X'. Until recently there was no problem. Exiting simply dropped me back to my local konsole.
