using signed certificates for TLS/SSL
Hi, I have, in one customer, a web server running on a Verisign-signed certificate SSL certificate. Everything works fine, IE and Firefox connects on https without asking anything, which usually happens on self-signed certificates. I'm trying to use that certificate on dovecot, but clients (Thunderbird basically) keeps saying the certificate is not valid. yes i'm using,

Commercial SSL certs on Asterisk 1.8.10.0 with Polycom phones for encrypted calls using TLS and SRTP?
Hi all, We're testing TLS and SRTP on Asterisk 1.8.10.0 and have it working with a commerical (not self-sign) AlphaSSL wildcard (GlobalSign) using Blink Lite 1.6.2 as per https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Secure+Calling+Tutorial We've tested with Bria on an iPhone and that doesn't recognised the commercial CA (GlobalSign Root CA). On a Yealink 28P with V60/V61 is registers

How to configure ssl cert chain in dovecot 10-ssl.conf file
Hi there, Does anyone know how to do this: "Put all the certificates in the ssl_cert file. For example when using a certificate signed by TDC the correct order is: Dovecot's public certificate TDC SSL Server CA TDC Internet Root CA Globalsign Partners CA " I try to set these parameters in the conf.d/10-ssl.conf as below, but it seems doesn't work. ---

building a package that contains S4 classes and methods
Hello R users, I am trying to make a my first package and I get an error that I can understand. The package is build out of three files (one for functions, 1 for s4 classes and 1 for s4 methods). Once I source them I run package.skeleton( name="TDC" ) within a R session and I get Creating directories ... Creating DESCRIPTION ... Creating Read-and-delete-me ... Saving functions and

Thunderbird can not import S/MIME certificate
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA256 Hi, in May 2015 I reported [0] that I can not import my S/MIME certificate. Issuer is GlobalSign. Jan Horak reassigned it to the nss guys ("This seems to be problem in NSS code, reassigning to nss component"), but then the ticket idled and was eventually closed by EOL of Fedora 21 (though I stated it persists with F22). I just reopened

LDAP SSL
I have a doubt about the ssl certificates and I believe that doing here already solves some doubt that somebody has it. Can I use self-signed certificates, for example, certificates that I obtained with GlobalSign, or do I need to be locally generated non-validated certificates? Dovecot vs.Clients - strange behaviour, diagnostics sought
I've been experimenting with dovecot-1.0-stable on Solaris. Storage format is mbox. Dovecot, in test, runs in parallel with an UW IMAP, with dovecot running SSL-only on port 994. It seems to work to some extent: * dovecot runs * authentication works * SSL works * all manual IMAP functionality checks seem to work fine However, I'm running into issues with IMAP clients. * Null

[OT] Where to buy S/MIME ??
Hi, I'm getting increasingly paranoid. Something I said on a certain social media site several months ago was modified - then reported - then by account was banned until I agreed to delete it. Obviously since what I said was modified I didn't have any issue with deleting it but I want more than just DKIM sigs on my e-mail now. Anyway looking for S/MIME I can use to sign and/or

Query SNMP
Hello, I want to collect the same statistics that NUT can provide via SNMP. But, I don't have the special card, and would want to use the serial port to get the data. How does this work? I have tried, but so far no luck. Any ideas? Thank You.

SSL Certificate Chain Support
Greetings. I was wondering if there were any plans to add support for an SSL certificate chain file? This is useful to provide a valid certificate chain for lower cost signing authorities. I'm afraid that I'm not 100% positive of the implementation requirements. Although it does seem that OpenSSL supports this concept. I am aware that Apache HTTPD (via mod_ssl) and Courier-IMAP offer

LDAP SSL
Hi Rowland, The test environment is totally isolated and we testing with images of the client machines. We're just trying to iron out any issues post the PDC role move. We have a small list we are going through. The SSL bit is one of them. Once the new environment is stable, we'll be migratingto AD. Serious ZapRAS problem!
Hi! I've been trying to get ZapRAS or PPPD to work. Neither does! All i get is LCP: timeout sending Config-Requests But after trying, all voicelines get crazy! It sounds like robots when somebody calls! And since the zaptel drivers can't unload (the server hangs totaly if I try!), I have to reboot the whole server! The robot-voice is only on our side, it sounds fine at the other end.

Public print share on Samba/VMS asks for a password
Hi all, I'm sure this has been discussed here before but at the time, it didn't apply to me ... until now. I'm trying to configure a public print share on a VAX/VMS system that doesn't require any password to connect to. Anything I've tried always asks the users for a password to make the connection. I don't much care about who connects to this system and its shares as

ldapsearch w. SSL refuses to connect to server with openssl 1.0.1 (worked with openssl 1.0.0)
Hi, ldapsearch with an ldaps-URL stopped working recently, probably with the update from openssl 1.0.0 to openssl 1.0.1. On a server with up-to-date packages (openssl-1.0.1e-16.el6_5.x86_64, openldap-clients-2.4.23-32.el6_4.1.x86_64) I get the following errors when issuing an ldapsearch (some parts anonymized): [bad]# ldapsearch -H "ldaps://ldap.domain.org:6636/" -D <binddn>

console doesn''t reload app
When using scripts/console, changes made to any classes/methods in my application files do not reflect in the console until i restart it. I verified that RAILS_ENV is indeed set to development. Isn''t that supposed to reload the app on every call? is the console different? Thanks, Sebastian

I can no longer use TLS for Windows7 and Outlook
I currently use Ubuntu 20.04 with Dovecot 2.3.7.2 and OpenSSL 1.1.1f. A few months ago there was an update to all these systems and since then I've had to talk W7 and old Mac clients through disabling ports 993/995 with TLS enabled back to ports 143/110 without SSL or they could not pick up email. Thunderbird users (ie; me) were unaffected. Could anyone share a set of port 993/995 SSL

Xen blktap driver for Ceph RBD : Anybody wants to test ? :p
Hi, I''ve been working on getting a working blktap driver allowing to access ceph RBD block devices without relying on the RBD kernel driver and it finally got to a point where, it works and is testable. Some of the advantages are: - Easier to update to newer RBD version - Allows functionality only available in the userspace RBD library (write cache, layering, ...) - Less issue when
