Simultaneous POP login - inbox corrumption
When two POP clients connect to the same account, within a second or two, the inbox can get corrumpted. Can't create subfolders of my INBOX or delete folders with IMAP
Hi, I've been using the dovecot IMAP server for about a year now, and basically it works. But there's an annoying problem, that I can't make any subfolders. I can only make folders that are at the same level as my INBOX folder. Worse, I can't delete folders once I've created them. I'm using Debian unstable on both the server machine and my client machine. The

dsync: assert panic on mbox // no INBOX sync on hybrid mbox/maildir
Hi, replying to my own issue: The dsync crash seems to be triggered when there are emails to copy in both directions, and it's fairly clear from comments in the code that it should be releasing a read lock before trying to grab a write lock. A work-around for the crash was doing a one-way sync manually. This allowed the process to complete and my setup is now replicating properly. I guess

Namespace, Sieve and upgrading to dovecot 2.0 -- no folder "INBOX/"
I just upgraded from debian squeeze->wheezy. This meant upgrading from dovecot 1.2 to 2.1.7 and upgrading to Pigdeonhole sieve. I have dovecot configured to use sieve and virtual users (I'll post config below) Now any message that come in get filtered by sieve, but any messages that don't hit any filters gives the error (in the sieve log): msgid=<XXXX at XXX.com>: failed to

surpressing tickmarks / labels x-as for two sets of boxplot (plotted as stacked boxplots)
Hello, I am trying to plot two sets of boxplots together. These are estimates of two experiments and?seven?factors. The results of the two experiments I want to plot as boxplots stacked to each other. Therefore I plot first the results of the first experiment; and next with the add option the second set of boxplots. The boxplots are plotted at 'at = 1:7 - 0.15 for the first experiment and

No status for INBOX/* in mbox NS (2.1.6)
Maybe it's fixed, but the last "interesting" text in the Changelog was before 2.1.6. Most of our users still have mboxes in the classical layout, so you can't have subfolders and messages in the same folder, *except for the INBOX*, as it is physically separate. Someone complained that he saw subfolders in roundcube he couldn't delete, because they didn't show up in the

dovcot+offlineimap+gmail: INBOX empty, mail doubled
Hello I have used for years offlineimap-6.2.0 dovecot-imapd 1:1.2.9 in Kubuntu 10.04 Together with a imap server of my university. Yesterday we switched to google, which I know, is not a real imap server. I have 2 problems and the first I think has to do with either an old version of offlineimap or a bad configuration file: - All folders are downloaded+ Gmail[All Mail] so doubling

Urgent - Inconsistent Inboxes
Hi, An urgent problem that I have : runninng dc 0.99.14 w mbox on local ext3 , nothing special, no nfs, nothing. For this machine we have a backup server rsyncing everything over. Now the main server went down and we started DC on the backup machine some day ago. Everything went well, besides one problem : people complained about missing mails that they had seen beforehand. When looking in

A common, read-only IMAP INBOX for all accounts
Hi, since I had no luck finding people available on IRC, I hope someone here can provide me with some answers to, hopefully, 2 simple questions (and have the solution recorded in the archives for everyone with the same need). A little background, as the subject says it - I want to have a single INBOX shared among all the accounts on my system, where only one account would have writing rights,

Hi Timo, We have encountered an issue today with a number of migrations. Some customers have mailboxes on the source IMAP server that look like this: 3 LIST "" * * LIST () "." "INBOX" * LIST () "." "INBOX.Statements" * LIST () "." "INBOX.Draft" * LIST () "." "INBOX.Drafts" * LIST () "."

Thunderbird, server side filtering (sieve) and new email not in "inbox"
Migrating my extensive thunderbird filtering rules to sieve has the unfortunate effect that thunderbird doesn't realize that there is new email in other mailboxes beside "inbox". According to ancient documentation, <http://kb.mozillazine.org/How_do_I_check_for_new_messages_in_other_folders#IMAP>, I could configure Thunderbird to check each mailbox periodically, but I have

Masking INBOX.INBOX
I am using dovecot and trying to make it compatible with my a BincIMAP installation. BincIMAP uses a scheme similar to Courier-IMAP, so I set up this default_mail_env: default_mail_env = maildir:~/Maildir And this namespace: namespace private { separator = . prefix = INBOX. inbox = yes } Which mostly works as expected, but I now see an "INBOX" subfolder of "INBOX" in
