help! assertion failed in 1.0alpha4
Hi,
I've been getting this bug in 1.0alpha4. It happens every time the user
checks his Inbox. I'm using mbox btw. Can I get any hint on why this is
happening?

assertion problems w/ 1.0alpha4
Hey list,
I have been using 0.99.14 for a while now but recently decided to try to
upgrade to 1.0alpha4 to get the latest and greatest. I'm building from
source myself on a Slackware 10.0 machine. Slackware ships with UW-IMAP
configured to keep your inbox in /var/spool/mail and your other folders
in ~/. I've been using the same setup for dovecot so that the migration

1.0.alpha4 released
The actual alpha4 release this time. With a few changes since the
pre-release.
The important changes again:
- Default lock_method changed to flock instead of the old fcntl.
Solaris users will need to set it back to fcntl. This makes sure that
Dovecot's indexes aren't accidentally used with NFS.
- IMAP: We might have sent extra EXPUNGE messages when output buffer
got full. This could

A Couple Assertion Failures
Here's a couple of assertion failures from CVS version as of Oct. 6.
There's also a segfault but the core file was empty so I don't know if the
log entries are much help.
BTW, the searching speed using pine has dramatically improved, nice work!

Vista performance (uggh)
Issue: Vista reads slowly from a samba server. This appears to pop up
periodically here and elsewhere.
My samba.conf file has:
[homes]

vfs objects = readahead
As suggested elsewhere.
Writes are approximately 17-18MB/s which is acceptable. Reads are in
the 8MB/s range which is appalingly slow. Using linux smbclient and
windows XP clients I can read at 25+MB/s. I've enabled vfs

samba Digest, Vol 155, Issue 24; Still can't figure out acl issues
Yes, I did an fsck from a boot dvd. It came up clean.
I did a recursive setfacal to set all acls to default.

rsync hangs at the end of the work.
Ok, so I tried with -v -v and -v -v -v, but this does not give more
clue, only much more useless log data.
I still have the problem that with:
rsync -v -auxHS --delete --force / /backup/
I get the following log:
