BLKTAPCTRL[2375]: blktapctrl_linux.c:86: blktap0 open failed
I''m getting this message (subject line) in daemon.log every time I start or restart xend. I''m not sure if this is related to the fact that I cannot boot up my Windows domU from a VHD file. The Windows domU was working fine with Xen 4.0.0 (with 2.6.32.14 dom0 kernel). When I upgraded to Xen 4.0.1-rc4 (with 2.6.32.16 dom0 kernel), I can no long boot the Windows domU from VHD. The

Changes to apt.puppetlabs.com
Last Friday, with a minimum of hiccups, we moved to using freight (http://www.github.com/rcrowley/freight) to handle our repository at apt.puppetlabs.com. One consequence of this move is that the debian repository links will need to be updated. They should be changed to the following: deb http://apt.puppetlabs.com/ $dist main and deb-src http://apt.puppetlabs.com/ $dist main There are symlinks

Dear list, I met with a business case and feel frustrated to model it,scenario is like this 1. logistics department running 2. a lot of customers place orders and goods need to be send to their site (nationwide) 3. order received and then choose from a list of truck carriers to deliver goods,a cheapest one should be selected but might not available for the limit of order-shipment time,so a more

TE405P V2 - Fantastic!
I anyone has any hesitations in upgrading their 405P (or 410P) to V2 of the firmware, read below; I installed one today (turnaround time around 2 weeks to Australia, inc. economy freight in both directions... impressive!) and have noticed immediate, significant improvements. Audio levels are better (have set tx and rx gains back to 0.0) and missed frames have gone (popping, clicking,

Confusing permission issues...
Trying to install samba 3.0.3 on my Linux server, to serve 4 PCs, all in my house, serving my family. Each of 4 users will have a home directory, plus I'll have at least 2 read-only shares. I have basic connectivity, but can't get some of the clients to behave the way I want them to. Specifically, I want to have full admin access for myself for all directories. Everyone else

Plotting a smooth curve through points
I have a set of Monte Carlo simulation results for a Quick Response Freight Model that I am currently preparing summary graphs. I want to show three things on the graphs; the model forecast, an approximate exponential best fit line, and a smooth line through mean+sd and mean-sd data points. As you can see I can get the first two, but all I can find when searching the help are references to

How to model this? (R-help Digest, Vol 67, Issue 25)
Hello Senne: I am currently teaching a simulation and modeling course in which we use R for most purposes and Sim Py (a python module for discrete event simulation). I am looking for a real-life case such as yours to approach in class- if you wish, i would be happy to look into the case you are describing, along with the data, to work out in the course. If you are interested, please reply with

forward flag metadata
In testing the migration from courier-imap to dovecot I've discovered that the forward flag on messages isn't kept track of in a standard way. courier-imap seems to keep track of forwarded messages in courierimapkeywords/:list dovecot seems to add an 'a' flag to the filename. Unfortunately this 'a' flag information doesn't seem to be given out by dovecot. It's
