Asserion Failure in Current CVS
Just installed the version from CVS as of Oct. 27. I noticed three problems quite quickly: Still seeing "(imap) killed with signal 14" My INBOX closed with "access error" after reading it for a bit. There's nothing in the logs or anything, but this hasn't happened for quite a while now. There where quite a lot of incoming messages at the time and I was marking

In fact - I can't use raw binaries from the ovirt repo itself, because these qemu-kvm binaries contains one bug, which is already fixed in Debian: If you want to migrate Windows from hardware node to VM using CentOS 7.1 on hardware node and

assertion problems w/ 1.0alpha4
Hey list, I have been using 0.99.14 for a while now but recently decided to try to upgrade to 1.0alpha4 to get the latest and greatest. I'm building from source myself on a Slackware 10.0 machine. Slackware ships with UW-IMAP configured to keep your inbox in /var/spool/mail and your other folders in ~/. I've been using the same setup for dovecot so that the migration is

help! assertion failed in 1.0alpha4
Hi, I've been getting this bug in 1.0alpha4. It happens every time the user checks his Inbox. I'm using mbox btw. Can I get any hint on why this is happening? [PATCH RFC (resend) net-next 5/6] virtio-net: Add support for vlan acceleration vnet header extension.
This extension allows us to pass vlan ID and vlan protocol data to the host hypervisor as part of the vnet header and lets us take advantage of HW accelerated vlan tagging in the host. It requires support in the host to negotiate the feature. When the extension is enabled, the virtio device will enabled HW accelerated vlan features. Signed-off-by: Vladislav Yasevich <vyasevic at

High Load Average on POP/IMAP.
Hi, We have a serious issue running on our POP/IMAP servers these days. The load average of a servers spikes up to 400-500 as a uptime command result, for a particular time period , to be specific mostly in noon time and evening, but it last for few minutes only. We have 2 servers running dovecot 1.1.20 , in loadbanlancer, We have used KEEPLIVE (1.1.13) for loadbalacing. Server

Panic: file mail-index-sync-ext.c: line 155 (get_ext_header): assertion failed
One of the mbox files on my server causes dovecot to assert. I've caught the assert in gdb and have attached the backtrace. Unfortunatly my binary isn't built with debugging symbols, so I'm not sure how helpful it will be. smtp:/var$ uname -a Linux smtp 2.6.14-2-686-smp #1 SMP Sat Nov 26 13:37:07 UTC 2005 i686 GNU/Linux smtp:/var$ cat /etc/debian_version 3.1 smtp:/var$ dpkg -p

MANOVA: how do I read off within and between Sum-of-Squares info from the manova result?
Hi all, I am experimenting the function "manova" in R. I tried it on a few data sets, but I did not understand the result: I used "summary(manova_result)" and "summary(manova_result, test='Wilks')" and they gave a bunch of numbers... But I need the Sum-of-Squares of BETWEEN and WITHIN matrices... How do I read off from the R's manova results? Any

imap core dumping on signal 10
We are just trying to bring up a new server and chose to use Dovecot rather than the uw-imap from our previous servers. At this point I am just testing with some throw away accounts using squirrelmail. I can load my inbox, but then the imap connection is lost. I presume you need some real information to get your teeth into, so this is going to get a little long. I'll give you three things

Custom build kernel patch fails big time.
I am trying to build a custom kernel for the HIPL code (infrahip.hip.fi), using the patch for the Linux 2.6.18 kernel. I followed all the instructions for getting the kernel source and making a custom kernel provided on the wiki. The rpmbuild fails with the following messages: Get an error on this step (figured out my other problem): Patch #40000
