samba_dnsupdate: update failed : NOAUTH
Hi, We recently implemented Samba AD DC using 4.7.0 with two servers in one location and another server in another location. All necessary ports are opened in firewall. While the two Domain Controllers in one location working perfectly with all replications, the one at a different location is throwing up samba_dnsupdate: update failed : NOAUTH error. While adding this server at a different

VPN server and logon to Samba PDC
My goal is to make VPN access to our Samba PDC (FreeBSD 7.0) so that users can access there home shares from Windows clients. I have read the instructions at http://samba.org/ftp/unpacked/lorikeet/pppd/final-report.pdf, but I can't make it work. Don't know if is due to my lack of skills or has something to do with the Popop functionality in FreeBSD. Following the instructions, i made a

Retention Policy Feature(?)
I am currently using dovecot 0.99.14p1 on OpenBSD 3.8, mbox format, procmail+sendmail MTA. I subscribe to quite a few mailing lists and currently have procmail sorting mail into the proper mboxes. I was hoping there would be some sort of retention policy feature built in to dovecot. I want to delete mail more than X days old from X folders. I have combed the documentation, list archives, and

Marks SNMP HowTo
I followed Marks SNMP howto on Voip Magazine and ran into a small problem... (http://www.voip-magazine.com/content/view/2877/0/1/3/) When asterisk is running as a non-root user (asterisk) SNMP request for for the Asterisk MIB tree return nothing. If I quit asterisk and run it as root, all is fine. Does anyone have a idea what is going on? I have never used agentX, so I am unsure of what it is

[LLVMdev] Contributing new backend to LLVM
Hello all, We would like to contribute a new backend for Qualcomm's Hexagon processor. We will actively maintain the port once it is accepted. Hexagon is a VLIW core that is used principally in modem and low power audio applications in Qualcomm's chip sets. We have a patch for both llvm and for clang. As this is a new port, these patches are quite large (approximately 26k and 3k

Dovecot auth patch updated for Postfix 2.3-20051121
Once again I have updated Timo's auth patch for Postfix 2.2.1 to work with a 2.3 snapshot. It applied cleanly and compiled and is running for me, but is not really tested. This is Timo's code, not mine. All I did was manually edit in the rejects from the old patch. Find it here if you're interested: http://www.nodns4.us/postfix-2.3-20051121-dovecot-auth.patch.gz md5sum:

A few words about NFS please?
Hi, Could you say a few words about Dovecot and POP/IMAP to an NFS mounted filesystem? I thought I saw on the dovecot webpage that NFS is "no way" with 0.99 and "maybe" with 1.x. I was looking for the FAQ and couldn't find it. My setup is like so: My mail server is a Solaris 9 system, running sendmail/procmail, and qpopper POP. Mail is stored in mbox format. The
