Hi all
I have just finished installing / configuring my dovecot IMAP server.
Im seeing something weird happing.
It seems my Winblows Outlook users are experiencing a problem whereby
when they delete an email, Outlook
puts a line though the email, but the mail does not delete.
Im not sure if this is a an outlook problem or a dovecot IMAP problem.
I cant see anything in the conf file to

Would anyone know how you use SNMP to detect that a Cisco router is using an alternative (redundant) interface and then change the routing settings on your firewall.
Kind Regards

Re: LARTC Digest, Vol 20, Issue 4
Hi,
I think you now have 2 Links to the internet. You want to route web traffic
(transparent proxy triffic) via one link and the rest via the other link.
If it is the case, It is possible to do. I have done it.
here I have mentioned eth0 and eth1
eth0 is connected to one link (link1)
eth1 is connected to other link (link2) , via this link, web traffic will be
routed.
echo 210 link1 >>

Wanting to seperate MTA and Imap
Hi
Current my set up is that the MTA and Dovecot (maildir) is on the same
machine. Ive been asked to seperate the services from the same machine
(too would like to add a secondary MTA - but thats future ideas).
I read the documentation on NFS, but from other sites i have read.
Most say this is NOT the best solution.
My question is, how do some of the fellow dovecot users,or other
companys, e.g.

Good day Guys
I forgot to add and mention a very important piece of the puzzle.
We are making use of dovecots compression plugin.
I.e. https://doc.dovecot.org/configuration_manual/zlib_plugin/#compression

dovecot-example.conf for a quick test to see if the daemon would work.
But I keep getting the following error message in me /var/log/messages:

mail shown throught outlook, shows todays date
Hi all
I seem to be sitting with an interesting situation where by I need to copy mail from Exchange to dovecot (Maildir)
I used a mixture of solution (Moz Thunderbird, fetchmail and outlook) to copy and test the mail.
The interesting thing is, once I have some mail on the dovecot, the date displayed on Mozilla is correct, but the mail shown throught outlook, shows todays date (thats for all

[LLVMdev] LLVM/Clang research questions
Hi Brent,
You're correct. The segmented stack model is intended for performance, not security. Its goal is to allow lightweight threads to be very cheaply allocated and destroyed.
For your model, you would most likely want to use different address spaces for the different memory types. Currently, clang does not allow you to define the address space of variables with automatic storage

[LLVMdev] LLVM/Clang research questions
Hi Duncan,
It doesn't appear to be what I'm looking for as there is copying of the old
stack to the new stack. Additionally, according to the LLVM docs on
segmented stacks (http://llvm.org/releases/3.0/docs/SegmentedStacks.html)
the stacklings are allocated memory from the heap. Since this places them
all on the same memory segment, a read/write from one stackling could

[LLVMdev] LLVM/Clang research questions
Hi Duncan,
Are the segmented stacks actually on separate memory segments? My intended
purpose for placing different datatypes on separate stacks is such that
memory accesses to one datatype won't be allowed to overflow to another
datatype.
If they aren't, in fact, on separate memory segments, are you aware of a
way to place a non-readable/-writable segment in between two other stack

Centos long end of life support, but im interested in packages themselves.
Hi Guys
Im hoping someone would be so kind to answer my question.
Where I work we are currently reviewing and making use of Centos, because of its long end of life support.
CentOS-6 updates until November 30, 2020
The question I would like to ask is.
Say Centos 6 offers and makes use of PHP 5.3. Say as time goes on PHP themselves deprecate 5.3 and EOL is reached.
Would Centos 6 continue to
