Well, "Hard filesystem quota can also be problematic"
"Hard filesystem quota can also be problematic", quoth <http://www.dovecot.org/>. Since we actually use quota for our userbasg, this merited further investigation. Using 1.0-stable, we enabled quota on /var and /users filesystems, and set very low quota for a test account. Then we had some mail delivered on it, and we moved some messages about. At some point, Thunderbird

Dovecot vs.Clients - strange behaviour, diagnostics sought
I've been experimenting with dovecot-1.0-stable on Solaris. Storage format is mbox. Dovecot, in test, runs in parallel with an UW IMAP, with dovecot running SSL-only on port 994. It seems to work to some extent: * dovecot runs * authentication works * SSL works * all manual IMAP functionality checks seem to work fine However, I'm running into issues with IMAP clients. * Null

dovecot & Apple Mail & maildir & lots of Mail
Hi, Using Mac Mail with 9 mail accounts, more than 150 folders, and 1000s of mails, I get far too many problems lately, and not only on dovecot, so I would say the problem lies with Mac Mail, and even more if you installed Yosemite. As far as I know dovecot handle very well accounts with 100000s email even if the size is very big. And BTW, looking for a fast and reliable mail client for Mac, to

Dovecot2 vs. AD, "Inactivity during authentication"
Hi, I'm trying to setup Dovecot2 for o IMAP client access o LDA for postfix mail delivery (with SIEVE) ... on a FreeBSD host. The FreeBSD server has no users (by intention), so I've set up a virtual mail domain, using LDAP lookups in Postfix. So far so good. Mail delivers into the proper mailbox. But I'm stuck getting Dovecot to authenticate. User- and passwd DB's are set

OS X 10.6 Server - Dovecot Issue
I've just taken over support for an OS X Server (v10.6.8) box, and am a bit new at Postfix & Dovecot. We're having an problem where, intermittently, dovecot seems to be bouncing messages inbound for some of my existing users. Here is the mail.log entry for a successful delivery: Aug 21 16:58:45 mail postfix/pipe[64094]: D68783AE0F75: to=<sblondin at eem.ca>, relay=dovecot,

quick, quick, slow...
Hi, I'm (still) evaluating dovecot for a switch from UW in the near future. All the following happens on a Solaris server. Functionally, all is well. However, I see strange phenomena. Normally, dovecot is pretty swift. Every now and then, though, things slow down to a crawl. Everything seems to be working, still, but a few orders of magnitude slower. A copy of an outgoing message (of a

Dovecot, AD and authenticated binds...
I posted earlier with reports of less than stellar success in using Active Directory for dovecot authentication. My approach is to using the two-step approach of - obtaining the user DN by a search using an authenticated bind (using a service account) - then binding as that DN, and returning the relevant user attributes This hasn't been succesful. Dovecot's authentication process does

Changing scaffold''s text_field to a password_field causes white screen of death in mozilla?
I had posted earlier about ''silent failure of a controller'', what seemed to be an intractable problem where I was getting failure of a particular action in a controller while others worked. What was irritating was that there were no useful messages. Nothing to the browser, nothing in logs, and even the breakpoints wouldn''t hit. Finally by a process of elemination I found

ZFS gzip Death Spiral Revisited
I have the following configuation. My storage: 12 luns from a Clariion 3x80. Each LUN is a whole 6 disk raid-6. My host: Sun t5240 with 32 hardware threads and 16gig of ram. My zpool: all 12 luns from the clariion in a simple pool My test data: A 1 gig backup file of a ufsdump from /opt on a machine with lots of mixed binary/text data. A 15gig file that is already tightly compressed. I wrote

I would like to correspond or talk on the phone with anyone who has founded a SIG or participated in numerous SIGs and has thoughts or lessons learned about what makes them thrive, stagnate or die. FreeBSD 9.2-RC1 i386 frozen to death
Hey :-) I have just installed FreeBSD 9.2-RC1 on Dell Latitude D620 i386 laptop. After first run and installation of some packets with pkg(ng) then some xorg configuration when I was in console it hung badly with totally no response. This looks bad :-( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Tngr7YpP_I Best regards, Tomek -- CeDeROM, SQ7MHZ, http://www.tomek.cedro.info

Wow and death on ATI
Hi ! I have recently bought an ATI card. I have managed to get wow working with catalyst 8.5. It works quite good except the white minimap when inddor. But when I die all graphics become corrupted and I can't use the game anymore. Strangely to bring my character to life I can launch the game in d3d mode to, slowly, head towards my body. I have ffxdeath 0 and ffxglow 0 in my Config.wtf.
