1.0-test72
http://dovecot.org/test/ I'm not sure if this was test71-specific or if it also happened with test70, but anyway IMAP process was hanging in some situations (I think POP3 hang was fixed though? :). So, fixed that. -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Name: PGP.sig Type: application/pgp-signature Size: 186 bytes Desc: This is a digitally signed

POP3 download problem
Hi All I am experiencing a mail download problem with dovecot's pop3 protocol. We use outlook XP 2002 mail clients and I have setup a mail system with pop accounts on a Fedora 2 installation using dovecot. Some of the clients download email fine but others do not download email and also do not give any error messages. I have enabled the "verbose" options in the

USERDB environment is unset
Hello, I tried the v1.0 test of dovecot, because it should make the directories for me. I configured it and installed it. The old one is still there, but I shut it down to test the other version. When I start the new v1.0 test of dovecot i get the following message in my log: Jun 6 13:33:08 APOLLO dovecot: Dovecot v1.0-test72 starting up Jun 6 13:33:09 APOLLO dovecot: Auth process died too

data not being saved
I am trying to save data entered in a form and nothing seems to be saving. What do you I have to look at to ensure everything is set-up correctly? I have looked in my database.yml file and all looks good and the database that I am trying to use exist. Bug report v2.0.13 - CentOS x86_64 - NFS - mbox
Greetings to all. It's my first post to the list. We just completed a migration from qpopper to dovecot for our IMAP and POP3 services. We have a rather large mail environment (we are the biggest provider in Greece). So, here are the details: - Keep getting errors like these in our production environment Jul 22 00:18:21 pop01 dovecot: master: Error: service(pop3): child 4078 killed with

1.0-test73
http://dovecot.org/test/ Two potentially dangerous changes: - mbox parser should now be able to handle CR+LF linefeeds. Hopefully doesn't break anything. - Some mail header parser changes. Hopefully doesn't break anything. And other stuff: - COPY shouldn't crash anymore with 64bit systems - If PAM modifies username, keep it - When auth workers died they leaked file

mail location change generates various errors
I have a sendmail/dovecot imap/pop3 system that has been running with the following mail_location: mail_location = mbox:/var/empty:INBOX=/var/spool/mail/%u:INDEX=/var/indexes/%u In order to reduce errors and simplify operation I removed imap and am now only responding to pop3. I'd like to also simplify the mail_location to get rid of index errors since I don't need indexes:

1.0-test74
http://dovecot.org/test/ Not much has happened, but the APPEND bugfix is important since it was broken in test73 (at least). Summer makes me tired and lazy. :( I've been trying to get keywords implemented in maildir. Hopefully works soon.. After that I'll create 1.0-stable2 (ugh. any other naming ideas?) branch of the code before merging the new master/config code. - Fixed APPEND

Debugging test72
When attempting to save a message from the INBOX to a folder in a collection (like, .projects.dovecot), I get behavior like this (in GDB). Any clue what might be going wrong? Here's where a SIGABRT happens: 280 return array->buffer->used / array->element_size; This is the stack trace: (gdb) where #0 mail_index_map_get_ext_idx (map=0x1200c0db0, ext_id=0,

Sudden IMAP problem - UID Errors
Hi, We have quite happily been running dovecot with no issues at all for approx. two years now and have had no problem whatsoever. Great work :) BUT (there is always a but!).... yesterday one of our users started complaining that they were having issues with their mail. I checked and although they can still view their IMAP mailbox ok it constantly throws up error messages such as: "The

Outlook express confusion
Hi, This may be a problem with my config file but I am finding that customers (and more importantly my boss) that are using outlook express when using test66/67 (upgraded from test60 + from address patch) are having message reappear after being fully deleted (not just marked) but are unreadable, sometimes blank headers appear too but again no message. Since it is affecting my boss he has told me

LF not found where expected
I'm using Dovecot 0.99.13 on a fedora core 3 server. I keep getting these errors from time to time. There user ends up retrieving no mail (but no error in their client, be it web mail or pop3 client) What usually fixes it is this procedure: Cp mbox file to mbox_ Remove original mbox Send a test message to recreate mbox. Cat mbox_ >> mbox Problem solved! Can anybody tell me what causes

Wrong message information
We have a few users that every so often get empty data in their message overview. From and subject are empty, and the date is 1-Jan-1970. When opening the message in full view, all things are fine. Also, the data in the actual maildir file is fine. It looks a lot like the issue described here: http://dovecot.org/list/dovecot/2008-March/029282.html The server is Linux, ext3, no NFS, and Dovecot
