group name length limit?
I am using samba 3.07 with winbind in AD. I have some long group names
(30 char or more, includes spaces). And I noticed users get access
denied for those groups. Is there a limit on group name length?
Thanks.

Using Scalar Evolution to Identify Expressions Evolving in terms of Loop induction variables
Hi Hashim,
Scalar evolution determines evolution of scalar in terms of expression
chain driving it.
Try dumping the detailed log using opt -analyze -scalar-evolution <.ll> -S
, and look for LoopDispositions
corresponding to different expression which shows variance characteristics
of a particular expression w.r.t
loop i.e. [computable/variant/invariant].
Thanks

How to see the implementation of print function for a class from a package?
Dear R-helpers,
I want to see the code used when printing (using print(object) or by just
typing the object name) for a class from a package.
I can see the summary code using packagename::summary.classname but nothing
for print method and also plot methods.
In general, how can I see the COMPLETE code for a package? not just the
function defs?

Packet flow through IPFW+IPF+IPNAT ?
Hi.
   On my FreeBSD 4.8 configured IPFW2+IPF+IPNAT and I use them all:
   - IPFW - traffic accounting, shaping, balancing and filtering;
   - IPFilter - policy routing;
   - IPNAT - masquerading.
   I want to know, how IP-packets flow through all of this components?
What's the path?
   incoming: IPFW Layer2 -> IPFW&Dummynet -> IPNAT -> IPFilter ?
   outgoing: IPFW Layer2 ->

Impossible to IPfilter this?
Hi!
I'm trying to increase security on my FreeBSD 4.8 firewall/DSL router/VPN
router.
My problem is with firewalling the VPN part. I'm using a tunnel to a
RedHat 7.1 box running FreeS/WAN. This tunnel allows traffic from my
internal net (172.17.0.0/24) to that box only:
spdadd 172.17.0.0/24 $REDHAT/32 any -P out ipsec esp/tunnel/$MYADDR-$REDHAT/unique;
spdadd $REDHAT/32 172.17.0.0/24

Rsync over SSH v2 with strong authentication but not encrypted to get the highest speed on Rsync?
Hello

I am trying to set up a backup server running Solaris 8 with rsync 2.5.5 and
ipfilter the latest version.
The problem i have is i have about 16 different interfaces that are secured
via ipfilter , and i tried running rsync via rsh but ipfilter would not set
up a keepstate with rsh which meant i had to open up and that is not
acceptable.
So what i tried then was via ssh and that worked fine

ANOVA and lmer
I am analyzing from a very simple experiment.
I have measured plants of two different colours (yellow and purple) in 9
different populations.
So, I have two different factors : a fixed effect (Colour with two
levels) and a random one (Population with 9 levels).
I first analyzed the data with the aov function
LargS is the variable
aov(formula = LargS ~ Col + Error(Col/Pop))
