Recent wines on RH7/kernel-2.4.0
I'm not running RedHat(running Debian rather), but I've run Wine under
2.4.0, 2.4.1 and 2.4.2-pre3 kernels without any trouble.

Do index files need removing when upgrading 1.0-stable to 1.0-alpha1 or later?
Hi Timo,
Just a quick question: do index files still need removing when upgrading
from 1.0-stable (as in the testXX series) or will Dovecot regenerate
them automatically?
I'm expecting to go with 1.0-stable on Tuesday for my 20,000 users (as
that's what I've been testing), but if we see lots of index issues, I
may want to upgrade to alpha1 (or later) fairly soon afterwards and it

Way to see Moin Moin statistics
Hey
Is there a way to see how many people have looked at a page in Moin Moin
(like the current Newsletter ;), or some general wiki usage statistics?
Cheers Didi

wiki.centos.org .. what's next ?
it's all in the title : what's next for wiki.centos.org ?
As a reminder, current wiki.centos.org instance is powered by moinmoin
(https://moinmo.in/) but quite an old version (moin-1.5.8-3.el6.noarch)
Recently I had a quick look at trying to update/upgrade that version to
something newer/supported, but it's a nightmare : the data conversion

Testing Wiki migration - asking for testers
Hi nice people interested in CentOS Docs and wiki !
There were already threads about migrating the wiki to something else
(mediawiki, $other), or staying with moinmoin (what we now have in place).
This mail isn't about that thread (but feel free to start a new one
about that possible migration or not), but about just migrating the
current moinmoin instance from the current machine to a new

Scheduling migration for wiki.centos.org

Hi,
As I received positive feedback from testers (thank you all !) on the
wikitesting.centos.org moin instance, I think we can say that we'll
migrate the real wiki.centos.org very soon ...
I'm actually moving some services around (pdns/msync roles) to free a
machine that will be able to host the moin/wiki role.
Depending on the available

[fdo] Time to kill the fontconfig wiki?
Looking at http://www.fontconfig.org/wiki/TitleIndex I see it's around
99.9% pure spam. Other than the front page, virtually everything else
is the moin-moin boilerplate or the hundreds of pages of spam. Even the
Recent Changes & Find Page links have been overwritten by spammers hundreds
of times, with the spammers fighting each other to crap on it most recently.

moin auth from http-auth
hi guys,
Just wondering if anyone know the possibility of getting Moin to inherit
http auth ?
Was just looking at a few things that we might be able to do - and using
inherit from http auth might make life a bit easier for us, and users.

dovecot Buch 2014 vs 2016
Moin,

how to use the stdin module?
Moin,
I compiled icecast under cygwin (yes, I have to use Windows 7 togehter with
cygwin).
The audio stream that I want to distribute come from stdin, like I get it from
curl http://streamingserver.foo.bar/stream/stream.php |
But how to proceed? Should I just pipe this to | icecast -c etc/icecast.xml?
It does not work.
Thanks for any hint!

dovecot vs. Thunderbird
Hello (and Moin Moin) ;)
I have currently a straith Problem ...
I have our IMAP-Server migrated from an old cyrus the the current stable
Version of dovecot.
In the old configuration we organized many mails (e.g. root-Stuff) in
Public Folders. They structure had nearly 5 folderlevels.
After the complete migration an syncronize we switch complete to the
dovecot setup.
At this moment we have

Folks:
A few of us (KB, Johnny, myself) have begun work on updating the main
FAQs on the CentOS wiki. Mainly that means looking over and updating
for any changes that have been going on in the last 18 months as the
project has expanded to include SIG releases, monthly updates of many
new types, new hardware architectures, and so forth.

language support
hi guys,
Just to touch base and restart the conversation about language support
in the wiki.
w.r.t the namespace / urlspace issue - did we finalise / decide on using
wiki.centos.org/<lang>/<namespace> ? or is that issue still open to
discussion ? Also, are pages in English going to remain as
wiki.centos.org/<namespace>/ ?
Also, iirc - someone was going to have a go at

Windows hangs on logout
Moin,
i have installed samba 2.2.3a with FreeBSD. I connect some windows
98 and Windows ME boxes to the server and it works. But if I try to
logout the windows clients hang. If I disconnect the samba shares I
can shutdown the client so it looks like an samba configuration
problem?
What maybe the problem?
Many thanks

how to overwrite DLLs?
Moin,
I can define the load order for specific applications using winecfg. But what
is the propper way to copy these DLLs from a 'real' windows box? Just
owerwrite the wine-ddl in windows/system32/ ? But isn't this the 'build in'
DLL, that should be used for applications with load order 'Build in'?
Sorry I am confused.

Opening of the Wiki - Part I
Good News, everybody!
Maybe not yet, though :)
There are two things I'd like to get at with this mail.
a) This also has something to do with Ned's mails from yesterday - we
have two FAQs at the moment (on www.centos.org and on wiki.centos.org)
and we want to unify those, if possible on the wiki. The one feature the
www version has and the wiki one doesn't is comments - and we really
