Feature question/request
So I have a bunch of users who are roaming - IE no static IP address from all over the internet. Some of them are able to use SMTP-AUTH which is great, but for those that can't, a pop before smtp solution is in place using relay-ctrl-age & cdb files via qmail. Would it be desirable to have this feature in dovecot? I'd really like to ditch qmail-pop3d, etc. vpopmail has a

Killing an open file doesnt work? (i dont know how to..!)
Hi all, since we updated to to 2.2.2 (or .3??) we have a big problem. Sometimes we need to 'kill' a locked file. That means, a user left his w2k terminal, locked it and forgott to close file.xls or file.doc. In the past we just did: smbstatus | grep "file.xls" kill -9 <PID> and the file was unlocked, so anybody could access it again. Since the update (version we use

where are all the Redhat 8 -devel packages?
I'm probably missing something really simple. I've installed an RH8 IAM in AWS and I'm trying to build packages on it. I've noticed there are many *-devel packages that I cannot install: ######################################## [ec2-user at site1-vpn ~]$ sudo yum install trousers-devel Last metadata expiration check: 1:10:41 ago on Thu 04 Jul 2019 01:01:14 AM UTC. SVN vs DVCS
Hi, Just wondering whether anyone had thought about moving the R sources to a "distributed" version control system such as Bazaar, Git or Mercurial. These new generation systems make it easier to work on feature branches, allow working offline, are very fast, etc. Some projects that have moved to Git are Linux Kernel Perl Ruby on Rails ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Git_(software)

XENBUS: Timeout connecting to device errors
We''ve been noticing a lot of these errors when booting VMs since we moved to 3.0.3 - I''ve traced this to the hotplug scripts in Dom0 taking >10s to run to completion and specifically the vif-bridge script taking >=9s to plug the vif into the s/w bridge on occasion - was wondering if anyone has any insight into why it might take this long. I added some instrumentation to

Kodi requires libmicrohttpd. The libmicrohttpd library

bug in aggregate.ts
Hi, I am getting unexpected behaviour from aggregate.ts(). The 'ndeltat' argument is effectively being reduced by 1 in some cases, even when it is an integer, with the result that the blocks to be aggregated are not of the expected size, and also that the end() of the aggregated series is much later than the end() of the original series. rawts <- ts(rep(1:10, each = 5), start = 1) ##

proposal for new axis.Date/axis.POSIXct
Hi R-devel. I've noticed a couple of quirks in the current time/date axis functions (axis.Date, axis.POSIXct, and the equivalents in lattice). Looking at the code, it seems like a fairly ad-hoc approach, often using pretty() on components of the time. This is not always ideal - for example a one-hour interval gets cut into 10-minute chunks rather than the more natural 15-minute chunks (since

Finding start of audio data using metadata level 2 interface.
I'm attempting to use the metadata level 2 interface to get at the various interesting bits, which is working fine. But I also need a relevant piece of data, the offset of where the metadata ends, and the audio blocks begin. I'm not finding a clear way to reach that number. Is this exposed anywhere? Thanks. -D -- The revolution will be documented.

plot.dendrogram xlim/ylim
list(...), I would like to zoom in to the leaves of large trees in a dendrogram plot. The playwith package allows zooming by passing xlim and ylim arguments to the plot call (Hmisc does this too I think). But currently stats:::plot.dendrogram does not accept xlim or ylim. So I would like to enable that. In place of the existing code chunk: xlim <- c(x1 - 1/2, x2 + 1/2) ylim <- c(0,
