Quota Issues
Hi All
Is there a way to test to see if the dovecot quota settings are being
applied?
I'm doing this as part of troubleshooting.
I have set up dovecot + quotas with squirrelmail and I am not seeing the
quota graphs in squirrelmail but I am not getting any errors.
Could someone please help me with this?
THanks.

managesieve daemon
Hi,
I am currently working on a managesieve daemon, so that I can use the
squirrelmail plugin avelsieve together with dovecot-lda. Without this
I can't migrate from cyrus to dovecot. For several reasons I don't use
the timsieved from cyrus and build it from scratch. Is this interesting
for somebody else?

IMAP: Get rid of non-existent folders below INBOX
Hi,
I am using Debian Sarge w/ dovecot-imapd package 0.99.14-1. Squirrelmail
created three folders below INBOX, Drafts/Sent/Trash, that I already had
elsewhere. Thus, I deleted them (through SqM).
However, both Thunderbird and Squirrelmail still show these folders
anyway. When I select them, I keep getting "Mailbox does not exist"
errors. I already tried to move all .imap.index* files

SquirrelMail 1.4.6 and Dovecot 1.0.beta3 Folders
I migrated from UW IMAP, copied ~/.mailboxlist to ~/mail/.subscritions
When I access SquirrelMail, is sees the folders on the left side.
If I modifiy my folder subscription, they dissappear all but INBOX,
and the .subscriptions file gets deleted.
What am I missing.
Thanks

Sent, Drafts, Trash folders
I am hosting imap mail for a new affiliate and am offering webmail via
squirrelmail as well. Squirrelmail created INBOX.Sent, INBOX.Trash, etc by
default and I would like to use these folders for my Dovecot imap users. I
am using the mbox format, Postfix and users retrieve mail via the Outlook
client remotely in addition to webmail access.
Thank you for any help.

Quota and Squirrelmail
Hello,
I have CentOS with quotas installed and make the users read their
mails through squirrelmail. So I've been applied quotas in 2
partition, one for home, and other for /var/spool/mail/ directory.
the problem is when the quota is over, the inbox in squirrelmail is
locked so the user can't delete their mails and free the space. And
all is frozen for them.
Don't know If the

quota plugin enhancement request
Hi am having a small issue with the quota plugin
In Squirrelmail when a message is deleted, it seems to be copied to the
Trash folder *before* it is deleted from the current folder. However if
it is a large message being deleted and the mailbox is close to its
quota limit, it means dovecot will deny the copy operation as the quota
will be exceeded if the message is copied
Because of this, I

Dovecot quota not working
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to make quota to work in dovecot 1.0.rc15 in a Debian machine.
Setting the limit to 1GB and starting to fill up the mailbox and nothing
stopped me. It just kept growing and nothing happened.
Restarted the service and nothing.
I had already exceeded the 1 GB limit and nothing happens, the mailbox still
goes bigger and bigger...

Timeframe for QueueStatus values
Hello all,
I've a question regarding the values "completed" and "abandoned" that are
returned by the manager command "queuestatus". What is the timeframe for
these values, are they counted since the last asterisk boot, or per day, or
is the timeframe configurable?
Thanks and Regards

IMAP servers and Sent/Junk folders
Hi,
my users were recently moved from a uw-imap on HPUX to dovecot on EL5.
Their sent items and folders went from a ~/Sent mbox file (when using
SquirrelMail and Apple Mail both) to ~/mail/Sent for SquirrelMail and
~/mail/Sent Messages for other imap clients. I notice I can cat the
files together and the only artifact is I end up with multiple "This

The canonical place is in configure.ac, and everything else gets regenerated if you rerun autogren.sh
That script, by the way, calls "autoreconf -i" which includes the --add-missing flag that I

New sub-driver submission process timeframe?
This doesn't seem to be my day for getting things to work right....
The most obvious place I could find to change the version number was near the top:
AC_INIT(nut, 2.7.2)
I changed to AC_INIT(nut, 2.7.2_RTD)
However, I cannot find "autogren.sh" anywhere, whether in the nut dir or as a system executable. I also tried "autogen.sh" in case that was a typo...no luck.

trouble deleting folders that only contain folders
Hi,
I'm using dovecot 1.0.5 with mbox storage. Users can't delete folders
that are created to 'only hold other folders'. I can create these
folders with no problem. They are directories in the file system. Normal
folders (which are mbox files) are deleted with no problem. I've tried
with both squirrelmail and Thunderbird, and what happens when a delete
is requested, is

I know this sounds pedantic, but while the snapshots correspond to specific branches and commits in git, they are simpler for end users to build than the git branches, since they include the ./configure script and a few

Quota not reporting with getquotaroot
I'm running squirrelmail on top of dovecot, and noticed that some of
my users display the quota (using the squirrelmail plugin
check_quota) and some don't.
So I did some digging. For those that do not display the quota, their
account also doesn't provide any data with:
. getquotaroot inbox
* QUOTAROOT "inbox"
. OK Getquotaroot completed.
When I check the account

Users w/o acl access appear to be subscribed to public folders (1.1b8)
I noticed this today, I had a user outside of our department test out
dovecot. They were using squirrelmail and I noticed that dovecot thinks
this user is subscribed to ALL public folders even though a dovecot
ACL prevents all access. I'm pretty sure access is still denied.
I was able to reproduce this with a guest account I added:
