Disallow creation of (sub) folders
Hi. Is there a way to prevent users from creating new mailboxes? In our setup, we've several standard mailboxes (maildir format). Users should use these and only these. I allready tried to chown the base directory, e.g. /var/mailstore/r/remy/, to root, and delivery still works then, but procmail chown's this back to the users' name. I have a workaround by using symlinks, but I think

More info on: Solaris 9 + quota = configure script error?
See the mail below, I sent yesterday. When changing the text '*solaris*' in the configure script to 'solaris*', the configure and make is going just fine. In other words: the file include/config.h contains a define for SUNOS5 I don't wanna be a smart-ass, but looking at other packages which use the configure script style configuration, they mostly use 'solaris*' as

Quota support Samba 3.x and Solaris 9
Hi all, I am a bit confused about whether or not quota support is available in Samba 3.x under Solaris 9. I start configure with the options --with-quotas and --with-sys-quotas, but this results in the error: Compiling smbd/quotas.c smbd/quotas.c:932:23: sys/quota.h: No such file or directory smbd/quotas.c:933:19: devnm.h: No such file or directory smbd/quotas.c: In function

No 'from' in messages
Hi all, Over the weekend, we've migrated our old mail environment to Sendmail and Dovecot: - Dovecot 1.0 stable - Sendmail 8.13.3 - Procmail 3.22 Procmail is MDA for Sendmail and it delivers mail to Maildir boxes. Email clients like Eudora, Thunderbird, Outlook and mutt are working OK. When using Outlook Express and Pine however, in the message list the 'from' or

Several issues with 1.0-stable
All, We have Dovecot 1.0-stable deployed in our 3000 users environment as of last weekend. Up untill now, I have 3 issues: - When stopping Dovecot with: kill -TERM `cat /var/run/dovecot/master.pid`, the 'dovecot' process itself dies, the 'imap-login' processes die, but the 'imap' processes (there are a lot of them) don't die, but become a zombie. I think the way
