UID Error on Test 24 and 25
I started testing Dovecot 1.0 Test 22! I loved the performance improvements, althought dovecot has been very fast for us from the beginning. However, now I am testing test 24 and 25, and I am seeing these errors in the dovecot log and squirrelmail is giving me a ERROR : Connection dropped by imap-server. Query: STATUS "Mailing Lists.SpamAssassin" (MESSAGES UNSEEN RECENT) This is the

Deleting a message through IMAP
I have been having a problem with the test releases...I am now using Test 59. When I delete a message using SquirrelMail (IMAP) the message stays in the message list....but you can't open it anymore because it can't be found, if I logout and log back in...the message is gone from the list. I thought it could be a problem with the cache, so I added mail_never_cache_fields = MessagePart

POP Before SMTP for Sendmail
Does anyone have a patch or information resource on implementing POP before SMTP with sendmail and DoveCot? I implemented it using a qpopper patch before we swiched to DoveCot for Maildirs. We have been using DoveCot for almost a year now and love it better than any other IMAP or POP3 server. A questiong about replacing my failing drive
First, I am not a RedHat or linux newbie. I simply have not had to do what I am getting ready to do, and I want to see if I am going to run into a problems... My HDA drive is failing (I can hear the occasional click from it and I am seeing Smart errors, the transfer rate is slow but all my data is there). I have 3 partitions on it, the /, /boot/ and my game servers (this is also the drive the

Imap crashes when trying to move messages
The imap process crashes when SquirrelMail wants to move a message to another folder. I have run imap in gdb and talked to it the same way SquirrelMail does and got a backtrace. I am using Dovecot beta3. I am using it in combination with XMail, which has maildir databases. My system is Gentoo Linux on x86. The same version of Dovecot works great for me on amd64 with exactly the same config. Here

IMAP EXPUNGE disconnect/box hang - Fedora Core 2, Squirrelmail and Evolution
I'm a bit befuddled by this behavior. I've been using dovecot for close to a year, and recently the Fedora Core 2 Update: dovecot-0.99.13-4.FC2 build came in via yum. Since then I occasionally get this EXPUNGE disconnect error. When the error hits, the box does not crash but I can no longer log in*, nor start any new processes. I happen to have gkrellm running and I see a slow but steady

DoveCot IMAP and "inconsistent state" messages
I need some help troubleshooting this problem. It only shows up with IMAP connections. I initially thought it was related to SquirrelMail (because it gives me an 'EXPUNGE' error), but after attempting to send IMAP commands directly to the server as shown below, I'm thinking there is something else going on. The system configuration is PostFix as the MTA delivering to procmail in

Now I really have broken the build
Can you explain how to revert for someone who is a 2 on a git scale of 0 to 10? pop vs. imap inconsistancy
I am converting from courier and have noticed change in behaviour with Dovecot. I use maildirs with squirrelmail connecting by imap as well as a POP3 client. Courier would set the 'mail status-read' flag for any message which was downloaded with the POP3 interface. Dovecot apparently does not. Is this a bug or intended behaviour? If it is intentional, can it be changed with the config

optnone/skipping passes in the new pass manager
Hmm it looks like getting NPM to work with opt is non-trivial. Only a small portion of the opt functionality works with NPM :( On Mon, Jun 8, 2020 at 3:36 PM Robinson, Paul <paul.robinson at sony.com> wrote: > Maybe you could change the default PM in opt and see what fails? > > --paulr > > > > *From:* Arthur Eubanks <aeubanks at google.com> > *Sent:* Monday,

Postfix + MySQL + IMAP + Squirrelmail + Virtual Domains + Web Management.
Greetings, I have long read and followed this list. I have also spent a considerable time with our good friend Google. I am a long time Sendmail user, about 15 yrs now. I have recently been looking into the newer services and the Postfix setup seems to be a very nice one. I am migrating a mail server from 3.x to 4.x and was intending on trying out Postfix on the 4.x server. I have found

Deleting messages with Mac Mail via IMAP
Hello mailing list subscribers! When I delete a message in Mac Mail 6.5 (OS X 10.8.4), with the option to move messages to the trash set in Mac Mail account preferences, the message is copied to the trash, and markes as trashed in the cur/inbox directory on the server (STa flag in the file name). My horde webmail then displays this messages correctly as trashed in the inbox. However, I want the

Fraunhoffer claims patents on other formats
Here in the uk, to get a patent on anything, you have to prove that the patent is not obvious and that there is no prior art. If there is prior art, then a patent cannot be given, this is why people patenting stuff have to keep it a secret until they actually have the patent, otherwise it is considered to have been released into the public domain. Once something is in the public domain, nobody
