1.0-test53 and 'Junk in start of group' messages
Hello. I am using dovecot-1.0-test53 with Maildir mailstore, with pine 4.61 as MUA. I have several folders which cause error messages like 'Junk in start of group' in Pine when I read them. I googled a bit for this, and found that removing the index file should do the trick, but unfortunately, it does not. What can I do to make these annoying messages disappear ? Thanks in advance.

1.0-test53
http://dovecot.org/test/ Sorry for not answering any questions for past two weeks, I'll try to get around answering them in next few days. I've also been thinking about if I should switch from CVS to Darcs. It seems to be exactly the kind of reversion control tool I had wanted to use. Anyone have comments for or against it? I'd still have read-only CVS repository generated from

1.0-test53, sig11 when sorting by thread
Hello. When trying to sort a folder by thread (with pine4.61), I get a sig11. The mailstore is Maildir, indexes stored in /var/indexes/%u. The syslog on the server shows this: Nov 29 11:37:55 olan dovecot: IMAP(kowalski): Corrupted index cache file /var/indexes/kowalski/.INBOX/dovecot.index.cache: record points outside file Nov 29 11:37:56 olan dovecot: child 14344 (imap) killed with signal 11

Strange log entry???
Although everything appears to be working fine, I see the following entry in my log file each time someone logs on via the IMAPS service (all other services are disables: POP, IMAP, etc.): ========== Sep 6 02:57:00 mgw1 dovecot: Logins with login process UID xxxx (user someone at example.com) not permitted (see login_user in config file). ========== Any idea what this log entry means and is

Power Over Ethernet for *any* ethernet switch (or hub); product idea
Based on several threads I've read on this list, I assume that it would be handy to supply POE (power over ethernet) in an environment without having to purchase POE switches (assumed expensive) and abandon one's existing (familiar/custom/not-yet-expensed/etc.) switches/hubs. Assume I have a non-POE switch with 24 RJ-45 (ethernet) ports. I design a 1U box that can be mounted just

NFS, test52, maildir, freebsd 4.x and OS X (Panther) Server
I've been working on setting up a Dovecot server with a maildir mailboxes stored over NFS. Initially, everything was working great, and then I started seeing this error as previously discussed on the list in my maillog: (mail_index_expunge): assertion failed: (!t->view->external) Timo, in another thread, suggested to remove line 247 in mail-index-transaction.c in the test52

test73 not compiling with iconv?
I've recently upgraded from test53 to test73 from a source compile on FreeBSD 5.3, and am getting some [BADCHARSET] errors in 73 that I wasn't getting in 53 (specifically with Squirrelmail). When I run one of Squirrelmail's built-in filters, I get the following error: ERROR: Could not complete request. Query: SEARCH CHARSET ISO-8859-1 UNSEEN Subject {14} *****SPAM***** Reason

How to specify memory mapping to xen?
Hello, I have a few proliant 5000 servers with buggy BIOS that always reports 16MB ram. In order for normal linux kernel to boot I need to specify memmap=exactmap memmap=640k@0 memmap=<RAMSIZE -1>M@1M My xen (binary install) dies as it complains that it "cannot allocate memory to stash the kernel image" which I''m sure is because of the above. How can I inform XEN of the
