dovecot rpms, .subscriptions file, mbox to maildir
Hi, I am running dovecot 0.99-14 on a Fedora Core 2 machine. I had a few questions: 1) I wanted to upgrade to the dovecot-1.0 release. However, I am not sure if that's really required. dovecot-0.99-14 has been running very well for me for quite some time. Is there a real advantage to switching to the latest release. The reason I'm asking this is because: i) I don't have too

Cannot see contents of ~/mail folder
Hi, I just installed dovecot-0.99 on my Fedora Core 2 machine. When I start the secure IMAP daemon, I am able to see my Inbox, but not the other folders in the 'mail' folder in my home directory (sent-mail, saved-messages, etc.) These folders were created when I was using pine earlier on the machine. In my dovecot.conf file, I have set: default_mail_env =

Dovecot dead after upgrade of MySQL
Hi, I upgraded my MySQL installation on my FC2 machine from the 3.23 version to the newest 5.0 version. Now dovecot won't start. It gives me the error : 'dovecot dead but subsys locked'. I am using dovecot-0.99-14. Here's the output of 'ldd /usr/libexec/dovecot/dovecot-auth: --- libcrypt.so.1 => /lib/libcrypt.so.1 (0x00a6d000) libcrypto.so.4 =>

imap disconnects on my account only
Talk about personal problems! I am using dovecot-0.99.13-4.FC2, and everything has been going fine for months. Earlier this afternoon, Thunderbird's status pane would say 'Sending authenticate login information...' and I would no longer receive email. When I checked with others, they were fine and dandy. I tried kmail, evolution, and even tried webmail. All had connection errors.

noob - integrating dovecot with postfix
Hi list, Just jumped providers and am now desperately trying to get IMAP running on a new server... But not getting the link between postfix and dovecot working. :-( My two problems are: 1) local mail seems to get into the ~/Maildirs, but not from the outside (this is a postfix issue?) 2) I cannot find information on how to tell postfix to use virtual domains/addresses and then connect

Best version for production systems?
Hi dovecotters, I have a system running 1.0rc1 right now and am having problems (more on that later). I know that 1.0.5 is "current" but I'm running Debian Stable (Etch) and have reservations of upgrading until nothing works anymore ;-) Do I really need to make the upgrade to 1.0.5, and if so can anyone here point out how to do so using the standard Debian apt-get process? --

More strangeness with ZFS and Samba
A new problem now. Running Samba 3.5.4, on Solaris 10 with zfs. Issue with Microsoft Office 2007: User opens up a .xlsx, then closes the file (Not Excel). Then user reopens the .xlsx file and now Excel says the file is read-only. But permissions on the file have not changed! Only fix is to exit out of Excel and restart, then user can open that file just fine. The issue also looks to be tied

Vector trunc code generation difference between llvm-3.9 and 4.0
Thanks Sanjay. Interestingly for me, disable-llvm-optmzns did not make a difference in the way the shift was handled. Does the initial IR generated for you show this difference when the option is passed? Vector trunc code generation difference between llvm-3.9 and 4.0
The regression for the reported case should be avoided after: https://reviews.llvm.org/rL297232 https://reviews.llvm.org/rL297242 https://reviews.llvm.org/rL297280 It would still be good to understand if the clang change was intentional or if that was a side effect that can be limited. DBG_VALUE insertion for spills breaks bundles
Hi, The insertion of DBG_VALUE instructions for spills does not seem to be handling insert locations inside bundles well. If the spill instruction is part of a bundle, the new DBG_VALUE is inserted after it, but does not have the bundling flags set. This essentially means that if we start with a set of bundled instructions: MI1 [BundledSucc=true, BundledPred=false] MI2 [BundledSucc=false,

dovecot.conf %d problem
Hello, I have got a problem ir dovecod.conf. I would like to use %d in default_mail_env = maildir:/var/mail/vhosts/%d/%u/Maildir but %d seems to be empty. I need it for Postfix virtual domains. If I use default_mail_env = maildir:/var/mail/vhosts/DOMAIN.ORG/%u/Maildir mail folders could be accessed. I wonder, where Postfix virtual domains need to be passed to Dovecot? more config info:

DBG_VALUE insertion for spills breaks bundles
Hi again, Here is a small patch to fix this issue. Please note that since the problem results in broken bundles, it can result in invalid schedules for any VLIW back-ends using bundling to group instructions.
