test49 Authenticate PLAIN disabled stops pop3s
Unlike test47, test49 refuses to authenticate pop3s if disable_plaintext_auth = yes Checked the crypto with: snort -vde tcp port 995 The connection is being made with ssl so it looks like the plaintext auth preventer is broken. -kim __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? 1.0-test49 FD leak
I'm running 1.0-test49 on Solaris 2.8. The good news is that this version fixes my problem with corrupted index files (so far). The bad news is it seems to be leaking FDs to do with inbox: imap 10198 gnb 156r VDIR 255,7032 8192 5784160 /home/gnb/Maildir/new imap 10198 gnb 157r VDIR 255,7032 1093632 2917923 /home/gnb/Maildir/cur imap 10198 gnb 158r VDIR

Occasional error msgs from 1.0-test49
I'm running 1.0-test49 on Solaris 2.8. MUA is Thunderbird (or mutt) running on FreeBSD. I'm using Maildir boxes. The mail server responded: Error in IMAP command UID: Invalid BODY[..] parameter: Missing

Duplicate Icons on Desktop after Upgrade
Hi, I'm recently upgraded to samba-3.0.23d from 3.0.21 on an OpenBSD 4.0 server. I'm using folder redirection to redirect the Application Data, Desktop, My Documents, and Favorites folders off to /profiles/username on the server. Two users now have duplicate file icons on their desktops. For example, if there is a file named test.doc in the /profiles/username/Desktop directory on

1.0-test49
http://dovecot.org/test/ Fixes the extra data appearing in POP3 mails (and possibly some other random problems). Created lib-sql API with asynchronous PostgreSQL and synchronous MySQL implementations. Also means I dropped mysql and pgsql userdb and passdb and replaced them with one generic sql userdb and passdb. If you were using the old ones, you'll have to fix your configuration. See

Excluding redirected directories causes file deletion on logout...
Hi, Samba: samba-3.0.21 OS: OpenBSD I built a new WinXP (sp2 and fully updated) box with the the idea of making a Default User profile. I followed the directions in the "Making Happy Users" section of the Samba-3 By Example guide. http://us1.samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-Guide/happy.html#redirfold Folder redirection is working, using the %LOGONSERVER%\profiles\%USERNAME%\

a little help for compiling R!
Hi; I'm trying to install R in a computer in which I have only non-root access, and I've got readline in a local own directory. I cannot find my way to compile with readline. I've tried: [sun2]/global/jgarcia/SRC/R/R-2.7.1: ./configure --prefix=/global/jgarcia/BIN/R --with-readline-includes=/global/jgarcia/BIN/readline/include --with-readline-libs=/global/jgarcia/readline/lib

samba 4 joining samba 3 pdc - group mismatch
Hi all Background: I am not a samba expert, not even close! I have a ancient samba 3 (Server role: ROLE_DOMAIN_PDC) and I intend to migrate all files to a samba 4 (Server role: ROLE_DOMAIN_MEMBER) Users will stay in S3 for now. Samba 4 joined samba 3 with no problems. I rsync'ed all files and its permissions (rsync -a ...). But... I cannot find a way that makes S4 sees S3 users and groups

All correct in Localhost but impossible remote connection
Hello. I have installed and configured succesfully samba in older Linux computers in the past. But now I've just installed the SUSE10.0 distro of Linux, and I'm finding it impossible to access remotely to the samba server. When I use smbclient from the same computer where I've got the Linux smb server, I have no problem and I can list the shares and succesfully login. But the
