Hi, just a question: I know that dovecot supports SASL authentication and supports LDAP. Which means that dovecot performs the SASL methods itself and stores the plaintext secret on LDAP. But it is also possible to have the LDAP do the SASL work and dovecot just pass SASL messages through? Hello, I use Dovecot 1.0.12 with Postfix on FreeBSD. It works perfectly, but I have a question. My users are virtual (stocked in a MySQL database). I use SASL Dovecot authentification, and SASL uses my userdb (for POP/IMAP access). However, I would like my users have an other login/password to send email with SMTP/SASL. I was playing with SASL authentication a bit today and I wasn't able to get libvirt to authenticate against PAM (or anything else except the sasldb, although I didn't try Kerberos). Does anybody know off the top of their head what mechanisms/password check options work? I'm trying to figure out if I'm attempting the impossible. Dave
