RE: build errors on cvs
Building on Solaris 8 with Sun's compiler, I get the following error.
Would you fix this? Using gcc is not really a good option for me.

RE: Compile problem
I am a package maintainer for the Solaris community site known as CSW or
blastwave.org. A CSW user requested a dovecot package, so I am attempting to
build the package.
I downloaded 0.99.10.4 earlier this month and it compiles just fine on my test
machine. I went to our CSW build machines to build a version that I can
distribute. I got the latest CVS version and used the same environment

RE: Missed config option
I am trying to sync a set of maildir folders from a dovecot server and a different imap server on a different host. Using a perl tool called imapsync.
The tool says the following about the two servers capabilities:

CVS Compile problem on Solaris
Hello all,
After reading through the Wiki and archives, I decided to take a stab at
installing * on Solaris 9 SPARC. I checked it out via CVS last night as
well as about an hour ago, and have run into a compile problem that I
can't quite figure out.
After running into some unlisted dependencies, such as popt, things are
almost compiling. Right now the make bombs when trying to find setenv

switchtower, CVS, and ''configuration.local''
I''m trying to get switchtower to work with CVS.
I see "querying latest revision..." and then it states "[update_code]
transaction: rollback"
I''m open to any and all suggestions at this point.
I put some logging statements in the switchtower code and it seems to fail
at this statement in switchtower-0.10.0/lib/switchtower/scm/cvs.rb

compile cvs trunk
Hello,
should the cvs trunk compile?
a configure first gave me errors. I had to replace
any appearance of "[config.h]" to config.h in the
Makefile.
Then a make did not finish:

Compiling RPMS for 7.3 from CVS source
Hi all,
To start I am still very new to samba and this is my first attempt to
build RPMS from the CVS source. I am trying to use the script you have
in /packaging/Redhat.
I keep getting an error that samba-PVERSION cant be found, see below:
[root@LSALNXS01 RedHat]# pwd
/usr/src/samba/packaging/RedHat
[root@LSALNXS01 RedHat]# sh makerpms.sh

Corrupted Transaction Log caused by deliver
Hi All,
I've just upgraded to Dovecot 1.0.rc7-1 with Postfix 2.3 on Debian Etch
and it's trashing my email. I get lots of the errors below as well as
other strange ones in my logs.
I don't use NFS. Mail comes in via Postfix, gets passed through
MailScanner, gets passed back to Postfix and then Postfix passes it to
Dovecot's LDA via:
mailbox_command = /usr/lib/dovecot/deliver

Bristuff e RealTime: STABLE vs. CVS-HEAD
Hi all!
Was anybody able to install kapejod's zaphfc drivers together with RealTime
application? I'm in big trouble because bristuff relay on STABLE version,
while RealTime is included in the CVS-HEAD.
I found this hint, "Installing zaphfc with CVS-Head" at
http://voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+zaphfc+install, but it was written many
months ago: may it be still useful?
TIA,
Alex

dialplan problems cvs 04-15-03
Dialplan stopped working after I did cvs update for
zaptel-zapata-libpri-asterisk and 'make clean', 'make',
'make install' for the above components on 04-15-03.
All the config files are the same as before. Both PRI and SIP calls I am
making forward calls to 's' in the
default context. Fields 'from' and 'to' look normal. My attempts to fix it

CVS update: samba/source/lib/rpc/server (fwd)
fyi the way that this will be used is to have:
encrypted passwords = no
update encrypted = yes
for a few days, have everyone log in with their clear-text password, and
a private/smbpasswd file will automatically be generated.
then switch to
encrypted passwords = yes
update encrypted = no
and voila.
if you were feeling _really_ adventurous you could have:
include = smb.conf.%M

Core dump in sftp from CVS
Hi All.
As I mentioned earlier, I've been having weird failures with both sshd
and sftp. The sshd one turned out the be my fault (misplaced "}", grr)
but the sftp one doesn't appear to be.
The sftp regression tests fail on the current portable tree on Solaris
and AIX (with my own mods to auth.c and regress/, but I don't think
that's related). The test that fails is:
