v1.2 can't set ACL to empty string
Hi *,
according to RfC4314 the rights argument to the setacl command might be
an empty string ("zero right characters"):
The third argument is a string containing an optional plus ("+") or
minus ("-") prefix, followed by zero or more rights characters.
existing clients (horde in particular) actually use this to remove all
rights from an user.

mailbox_list_index_parse_header crash
Hi,
I got all excited about IMAP NOTIFY support and tried enabling
mailbox_list_index on my server. Unfortunately, I rather quickly ran
into trouble of the segfault variety. This prevented me from doing
basic things like seeing the contents of some of my folders. Disabling
mailbox_list_index got me back up and running, but... darnit, that's
annoying. The only message I got in my log file

2.2.14 Panic in sync_expunge_range()
I am getting some panics after upgrading from 2.2.13 to 2.2.14
This panic happens for one user only, he is subscribed to 86 folders,
on two of them this panic happens quite often - several times a day.
The mbox folders seems OK, less than 30M with 30 and 200 messages.

writing a dovecot plugin / segfault
Hi together,
I am new to this list and new to dovecot itself. I have to write a plugin that implements some ACL-voodoo to be used instead of the standard ACL stuff of dovecot (it shall allow just application-driven folder-sharing - no more, no less).
Though I started programming with C, my last experiences are some days old, but now I have written the function sekeletons and the registration

Dovecot 1.1rc3 crashes with Dbox + imap_quota plugin
Version: Dovecot v1.1.rc3
OS: CentOS 5 running in OpenVZ
CPU: x86_64
Was running fine with maildir and decided to get dbox a try. Test user
created with a dbox mailstore backend and when a client logs in that tries
to run a getquotaroot imap command the process SIGSEGV's.
Have been able to narrow it down to dbox crashing against dict quota as
well as dirsize. Maildir works just fine.

2.2rc2 core dump
Hi,
using dovecot 2.2rc2 I got core dumps during IMAP subscription change if
the CONTROL directory (specified in mail_location) does not exists.
userdb_mail: mbox:~/Test:INBOX=~/Test/heiko:INDEX=~/.imap/index:CONTROL=~/.imap/control
If ~/.imap/control does not exists, dovecot crashes. See below for log msg,
full backtrace and configuration.

virtual mailbox segfault
Hello,
I have a segfault problem, and I can not resolve myself.
The details below (stack trace, config....). Maybe important to reproduce, everithing working well until I connect with SoGo ActiveSync (SoGo web, and other IMAP clients are working well). So maybe the SoGo send something magical command if the user client use the ActiveSyn... (the IMAP debug attached too)
Thanks, Balazs Toth
