Squirrelmail - messages not marked as read
As of test-60 and test-61, running Squirrelmail 1.5.1[cvs] on FreeBSD 5.3-STABLE, messages are not marked as read after they are read. If I switch back to test-59, it works normally. When switching back to test-59, with log_path = /var/log/dovelog dovelog shows: dovecot: Jan 14 11:43:38 Error: IMAP(kimc): Corrupted index cache file /home/kimc/Maildir/dovecot.index.cache: indexid changed

Mumble gamers' VOIP server (murmur)
I was unable to build the whole Mumble system on CentOS but it's available for Fedora Development. I just wanted the server part on my headless server, and a static build is available from the Mumble project on Sourceforge. So I grabbed the Mumble SRPM from Fedora Development, the static build from Sourceforge, and stripped the spec file down to the minimum needed to just install the

kqueue crash on FreeBSD with 2.2.25
Hi, 2.2.25 crashes on FreeBSD with a kqueue-related message. I see references to something similar (http://www.dovecot.org/list/dovecot/2012-February.txt) from a couple years ago. I get: Jul 1 10:07:27 imap dovecot: master: Panic: kevent(EV_ADD, READ, 54) failed: Bad file descriptor It's not dumping core, and I get the message even with "protocols =" Downgrading back to 2.2.24

WAS: Newbie: can't connect localhost:901 - help
Don't feel stupid. I'd guess you're using 2.4 kernel and not the 2.2 kernel? In 2.2 services default to using inet.d In 2.4 services default to using xinetd to start stuff. You need to go to /etc/xinet.d and make sure the file swat has a "disable=no" in it. As a matter of fact, for security purposes, I'd do a vi * in that directory (/etc/xinet.d ) and make sure

Bounty offer
Hello there! our company (e-learning) is trying to roll out Mumble for our users. The quality is awesome but setting up the program is a pain for our users and we'd like to improve that for our users and for Mumble users in general. The main issue our users have is with voice detection. Speaking with Mumble's community they informed me Now, one of the most twitchy aspects of the audio

Postfix - message queue filling with Host or name not found - try again
Hi list, I have noted over the last week or so my DNS servers are dumping lots of messages for bogus domain lookups. Examining the postfix queue with postqueue -p: I see many (Host or domain name not found. Name service error for name=bdgiedjhea.po6e4ina.com type=MX: Host not found, try again) Jake at bdgiedjhea.po6e4ina.com My question - why does this

Contact header gets url decoded?
I'm migrating an application running on a fairly old 1.4 (or 1.2?) version of Asterisk to some boxes running 1.6.0.27 The application takes an inbound INVITE like: mumble-fratz-sip%3Afoo%40bar.com at asteriskbox.abc.com:5062 The older version of asterisk replies with a 200 OK and a Contact: header that looks like: Contact: <sip:mumble-fratz-sip%3Afoo%40bar.com at

My spa has a mind of its own
I have a Sipura SPA-841. It's developed a nasty habit. At random times, it likes to dial my cell phone voicemail number and play my messages to anybody who happens to be within earshot. Any clues where to look at what's going on? My voice mail number (extension 220 in my dialplan) is the only number being dialed. When this happens, show channels looks like this: IAX2/NuFone-1

cannot hear a 1Khz tone with speex
Hallo I'm new in the mailing list :) I'm working with a program called mumble that uses speex and the problem is that, if I use a mumble client that tries to reproduce a wave file containing a 1Khz tone, I cannot hear that tone. I've tried to comment all the denoise functions but nothing could solve the problem. I've turned off the VBR, with the function speex_encoder_ctl and

CentOS/RHEL's build of firefox hardwired to evolution -- how to change this
For some awful reason (can someone explain why?), the RHEL/CentOS build of firefox is hardwired to use evolution as its mailto client. With FF 2.<mumble> this was fixable with an about:config setting. With 3.0.<mumble>, it seems not. What is the proper way of fixing this? *I* ended up doing a 'sudo rpm -e evolution' and then doing a 'sudo ln -s

CentOS 5.4 64-bit: Java web browser plugin for 64-bit FireFox?
Does there exist *anywhere* a Java web browser plugin for 64-bit FireFox? The SUN 1.6<mumble> JDK (jdk-6u18-linux-amd64.rpm) does NOT include the Java web browser plugin library. java-1.6.0-openjdk-1.6.0.0-1.2.b09.el5.x86_64.rpm does not have one either. Should I install the *32-bit* SUN 1.6<mumble> JDK and use the 32-64 bit wrapper? I've searched the web and read the wiki

Raid 1 - further
Managed to get RAID 1 working but the sync process claimed it was going to take a serious amount of time. Looking at the stats revealed that the sync operation was running at a max of 250kB/sec which seems chronically low. Basic drive performance (hdparm) tests seemed OK so I guess the controller's not up to it? The info that came with the controller was all-but-non-existent but during a
