build postfix rpm with mysql
hello list,
I'm trying to build a postfix rpm that has mysql support included.
I've found the line where I need to define mysql support but it seems
that I am being tripped up by some build dependencies:
[root at beta SPECS]# rpmbuild -ba postfix.spec
error: Failed build dependencies:
MySQL-shared is needed by postfix-2.9.1-1.rhel5.x86_64

build postfix spec w/ mysql
hello list!
I am attempting to build an rpm of postfix that includes support for mysql. I've done this before with earlier versions on postfix but I am staring at this spec file until my eyes bleed and I just don't see why when I build the spec with rpmbuild mysql support isn't there.
After I install the rpm I have a look at the modules as such:
ldd $(which postfix) | grep -i

Busy, again
Just a note to people if you're wondering why I'm not replying to most
of my mails:
I'm trying to get into university to start stydying cellular biology (so
I'm applying to biochemistry and biotechnology). Their entrance exams
are next wednesday, so I'm trying to use most of my time left to study
for them (and also do some work..). I don't know much about the subject,
so I

Combine vectors in order to form matrixes with combn
Hello!
I've a problem with the combn function and a set of vector. I
would like to make a simple combination where, instead of scalars, i
would like to combine vector, in order to form matrixes.
In other
words, i have nineteen 6-items vectors (for example coef1-coef19), that
i would like to combine in n!/k!(n-k)! 6x6 matrixes.
I tried with a
code like this

cisco ip phne 7911G with asterisk
hi,
I'm trying to configure a Cisco IP Phone 7911G in order to work with Asterisk. I have loaded the 8.3.3 SIP Firmware of Cisco through a DHCP and a TFTP server. All seems ok but a file that is downloaded : term06.default.loads (I understand that is for 7906 model) instead of term11.default.loads (I understand that is for 7911 model). In any case the phone reboots well.
At this moment I

CRAM-MD5
Hi,
after getting dovecot working with PostgreSQL and plaintext passwords
I tried to use md5 encrypted passwords with mozilla.
www.roughtrade.net/dovecot says that Mozilla only supports CRAM-MD5
and that CRAM-MD5 is included in HEAD.
Now I have two questions:
1) Is the md5 hash stored in passdb with cram-md5 the same as in
digest-md5?
2) Is a new dovecot stable build planned within the next two

passing remote ip to pam
to improve forensic log info i want to set the PAM_RHOST value to the
remote ip (which pam logs as rhost=foo in failure messages). i didn't
look to see if anything has been done in this way on CVS because i'm still
on 0.99.10.6.
below is a bit of a hack. in some sense the remote_ip might make more
sense in the AUTH_LOGIN_REQUEST_NEW packet rather than the continue
packet... but that

0.99.10.6 -imap flag update problem still present
Hi,
the email status problem that I reported for Dovecot 0.99.10.5 on
June 3rd does still show up in 0.99.10.6. Quoting myself:
(1) When new mail is delivered to the inbox, the last read mail(s) change(s)
to "unread". Clients: Eudora 6 (Mac), Mozilla 1.6 (NetBSD, Linux, Win
XP), MS Outlook.
(2) When you attempt to move mails from the inbox to another folder

0.99.10.6-rc1 released
http://dovecot.org/rc/
Fixes the crashes people had been getting more often with 0.99.10.5.
Also included all the patches in dovecot.org/patches/old:
- SHA1 passwords
- mail_extra_groups setting (Debian people can finally fix #185335 :)
- autocreate missing maildirs (and don't crash)
- maildir_stat_dirs setting
If no problems are found within few days this will simply be renamed to

Since no-one have complained about previous RCs, I guess it's release
time. Since -rc2 I added the ioloop.c assert fix, and 64bit Solaris
fix. Here's the full change summary again:

+ SHA1 password support using OpenSSL crypto library
+ mail_extra_groups setting
+ maildir_stat_dirs setting

Locked index file
I have docevot 0.99.10.6 installed on OpenBSD 3.5 and I'm using it

It looks like the process or thread died but the lock wasn't removed:

Local + virtual users using Dovecot 0.99.10.6 (from debian testing)
Hi,
I have configured the MTA (exim4) to put the messages for my local users
at /var/mail.
If the user does not exist as true unix user, it looks at a postgresql database and if the user exists there, it delivers the message at /var/mail/virtual
Example: User fred is a unix user, and peter is a virtual user.
If i send a mail to fred at mydomain.org, the message is stored at
/var/mail/fred (im
