Hi, I was wondering whether anybody has managed to get Dovecot 1.0 to store INBOX as Maildir and folders as mbox. Hi all, Recently there has been a flurry of spam to this mailing list. I'm considering switching the list to "subscriber post only" as a result. If you send from and receive to different addresses (like I do, for example), you need to subscribe your send-from address as a "no mail" address. Would people object to this scheme? -hpa

So much changes in this migration that the ideal way to do it would be to begin with a few users or a department, then migrate the users affinity group by affinity group: first an institute or so, then the faculty, then the staff, then the students, moving to bigger and bigger groupings as the bugs work out of the migration and the move becomes more assured. We use sendmail and procmail.

Do you think it wold be worthwhile to add command line options to "deliver" and "imap" to make them ignore "system wide" configuration file and use ~/.dovecotrc instead? I would like to use "imap via fetchmail ssh plugin" and "deliver via ~/.forward (to get sieve support)". Such options would allow "cleaner" configuration. --
