1.0-test78
http://dovecot.org/test/ Fixes: - Crashes in non-x86 64bit systems - Bugs in cache file header caching (you probably should delete all dovecot.index.cache files to be sure the bug won't haunt you in future) - FETCH ENVELOPE patch by Chris Wakelin (I'll try to figure out what to do with the list patch later) Known bugs left: - Thunderbird + maildir: moving lots of messages from

1.0-test17
http://dovecot.org/test/ Just mbox fixes since 1.0-test16. The logic is simpler and more correct now. Can anyone break it anymore? I actually tested it a while with Evolution and several mailboxes and it didn't break at least immediately. :) Now maybe a few more days and I dare trying this thing myself with my real mboxes (yes, I'm still using them). Dovecot mailing list archives could

1.0-test22 - maildir fixed?
http://dovecot.org/test/ Well, remember when I said: > Here you go, maildir syncing problems finally fixed (I hope). Well, > except there's this "new-dir-only syncing" optimization which I'm not > really sure if it works as it should. Just before I found the expunge bug in index, I was trying to fix the new-dir-only syncing because the code looked wrong. Then I

Timeouts connecting via POP3
I'm experiencing timeouts from time to time from both Mac Mail and Outlook when connecting to my server. I originally suspected that it might be process # related, so I increased the auth & login process counts but that hasn't seemed to make a difference. I'm running 1.0rc10 which came with my DirectAdmin control panel. I'm wondering if this problem is known and was fixed in

1.0 alpha3 released
I'm a bit too busy nowadays because of school so I haven't had time to look at everyone's bug reports and some other mails. They're still marked as unread in my mailbox, so hopefully I'll get to them soon. And I don't mind you resend them if I don't answer in a few weeks :) Changes: - Fixed maildir syncing errors about wrong UIDs - Maildir was re-read all the time,

1.0-test58
http://dovecot.org/test/ - Fixed APPEND hanging in some situations. Didn't happen with mail_save_crlf=yes. - Added pop3_uidl_format setting. No need to patch sources anymore if you don't want the default. Does anyone want pop3_uidl_xuidl_header yes/no setting, with fallbacking to pop3_uidl_format if X-UIDL header isn't found? Shouldn't be difficult to do.. - Added

(new) director issues in 2.1.10
Timo - I upgraded to 2.1.10 on our director servers two nights ago and apart from errors associated with the directors processes restarting everything looked great for ~24 hours until I failed our the real servers last night to update the nfs mount options for the spools. I followed the suggested procedure for each backend server, just run on one of the directors, which seemed to work as

It finally seems to be working pretty well. - POP3 idle timeouts changed to 10min I just wrote a simple stress test tool for IMAP and I've had one for POP3 for some months. The IMAP stress test was very helpful in finding out the bugs I fixed today. If anyone wants to try them, they're in: http://dovecot.org/tools/

1.0-test26
http://dovecot.org/test/ - Fixed APPEND hanging if the whole message was sent in one TCP packet (ie. fixes the "Sent mail" hangs) - Some changes in MySQL defaults - Working APOP auth - Fixes/improvements for cache file code. Still isn't as smart as it could, but it seems to work again. The code is nearing a state where plugins could add their own data into cache file.

1.0beta3 released
Since there have been so many requests, I guess it's time for beta3 now. There are a couple of issues that I'm still concerned about, but those probably happen with beta2 as well. If you're beginning to see more connection hangs/timeouts with this release, please tell me. * Dotlock code changed to timeout faster in some situations when the lock file is old. + Added support for

sql dict: commit failed: MySQL server has gone away
