Permissions question
My www directory is owned by "apache" and the group is "todd" and the
permissions are 775.
My Windows computers use Samba and they log into Linux with "todd".
Under the www directory there are various directories which may have a
group belonging to a user e.g. "viewpoint". Using this example, there
is a directory under www (acutally called httpd),

"important" flag
I'm wondering what I'd need to do to get the "important" flag set on an
incoming message according to a pre-specified header.
I know the problem of this not being a "joined-up" feature in standard
email, but in practice many MUAs set headers like X-priority etc, and IMAP
has an "important" flag that is the obvious mapping.
I'm not really sure where

Heads up v2.03h on snom 200
Christian,
Just a quick heads up warning that something seems to be amiss on
the Snom 200 running v2.03h code.
The Message Waiting Indicator is blinking (due to a voicemail left
in Asterisk) as its suppose to. Some time later the LED stops
blinking (as though no voicemail); then later it starts blinking
again.
I left a voicemail to x3008 (button 2) this morning at 8:48am, and

persp3d and rgl.viewpoint for rotating 3D plots
Dear R-users,
within the rgl-package, I would have a question about the usage of persp3d in combination of rgl.viewpoint.
I am not able to figure out how to let a 3D plot rotating around likewise the example in ?rgl.viewpoint. It seems that when I use persp3d(...) I see something on my screen, which is different from what I get when it's rotating. Is there any different behavior between

rgl rotations
Is there a way to change the viewpoint using view3d (or rgl.viewpoint)
with respect to
the image that currently appears rather than the perspective that rgl
thinks is the
default? For example, if I create an image and then perform what
should be a no-op:
rgl.viewpoint(userMatrix=rotationMatrix(0,1,0,0))
the image is rotated. Then I can perform rotations on the result
without surprises.
But I

"./blah/blah" vs. "/blah/blah"
Hello,
Earlier in my rails application, I was using the convention of writing the
following to refer to templates and/or views in the view folder.
"./blah/blah"
But in the Edge rail, it doesn''t work and the page doesn''t shows any output
there is no error in the development log as well. But changing the above to
"/blah/blah" seems to fix things.

rgl: coordinating and saving viewpoints, zoom, scale for multiple images
Context: I have two or more rgl-based views of a given data set, perhaps
fitting different
models, or showing different things across views. I want to be able to
hand-rotate, zoom, scale
one view to something I like, and then show the other views with
matching viewpoints and scaling.
so that one could flip back/forth among graphs and see only the relevant
differences.
In 2D, all this usually

movie3d function in the rgl package
Dear list,
I'm using the function "movie3d" in the package "rgl" to create a .gif
animation of a 3d graphic. The program "ImageMagik" is working
properly, R packages are working, basic examples available in the
manual also working fine.
Problem Solved: when I tried to create more complex movies, i.e.
combining different views and zooming, the R-console crashed

rgl movimiento

new CentOS5.1, samba help requested
Hi all,
I'm fighting with samba on a new CentOS 5.1 install.
The goal here is to have unix/linux usernames/passwords used for the
samba shares (which i'll setup using webmin, as I find it easy that
way). At present, the home share and one for the company's public share
are in place.
I can see the server, browsing from WinXP to \\172.16.0.106, but
permissions seem amiss. I

Agile book apache2.conf: Forbidden You don't have permission to access / on this server.
Appreciate any help -
I am working through Agile web development (4.0) and am stuck on the
deployment using phusion passenger. I get this:
"Forbidden
You don''t have permission to access / on this server."
when I put depot.yourhost.com in the browser.
I have been through various web searches and for file permissions and
suggestions to change the <Files> container.

wireframe
I've been using lattice/wireframe succesfully to visualize some data.
I have one question.
I want to be able to change the viewpoint ( i.e. rotate the plotted
figure a bit left or right or up and down )
Is there a way to do that?
Or is there some other package around that could help?
Thanks.

CLI Timeout ?
Is there a cli timeout at all ? I normally leave a remote session connected
just to monitor and view what's going on. Yesterday, I went to my console
and found the message

Now, I thought that may I had restarted the * server from somewhere else and
had forgotten about this old session.

rgl: axis/viewport/box problems in persp3d()
Dear expeRts,
I am a new user of rgl, below is my first trial to plot a simple function in 3d.
I managed to put the axes in the right locations, but:
(1) The xlab, ylab, and zlab arguments are ignored; how can I put in axes labels?
(2) Since I removed the axes in persp3d() the viewport is too small; is it possible
to keep the size of the viewport?
(3) The box is not correctly drawn, there

Axes in 3D plots
I am wondering if anyone knows how to change or rotate the default axes on a 3D scatterplot. I would like to change which sides of the cube the 3 axes are displayed on.
Many thanks,

read.csv
If read.csv's colClasses= argument is NOT used then read.csv accepts
double quoted numerics:
1: > read.csv(stdin())
0: A,B
1: "1",1
2: "2",2
3:
A B
1 1 1
2 2 2
However, if colClasses is used then it seems that it does not:
> read.csv(stdin(), colClasses = "numeric")
0: A,B
1: "1",1
2: "2",2

VoIP Abuse to Twitter (real time VoIP Abuse)
Apologies for cross posting but some of us aren't on the other list
(vice/versa) and thought both groups would benefit.
For those familiar with the VoIP Abuse Project, no need to explain the
gist of this. I got tired of parsing through the alerts (lists) I
receive via email daily. They're long and sometimes I don't have the
time to post them all. So for now, posting VoIP Abuse

How to xfer calls or is my setup wrong?
I am having problems transferring calls from one sip extension to
another - the extensions use various phones hardware/software.
From what I can tell I should just be able to press # and then dial an
extension to blind xfer a call right? How do I do attended xfer?
Either the phones (for this test I have tried xlite and budgetone102)
are not sending DTMF correctly or something else is amiss...
